WTF wrong with the sound of voices, Bioware?
Warden's best friend story mission. Voices of the characters are dumped down to be almost unheard behind the music. Lucky enough i had subtitles turned on to read what they say. And it only clears up at the last cut scene of the mission. Dragon Age was one of the best franchise of your studio. How could you f.ck everything up that bad?
Edit. It looks like it is not the only time when voices are dumped down. The cut scene before the fight with the Blight Dragon has the same error.

They relied on voice AI tools instead of properly recording everything in a real studio. The same thing was done to Hogwart's Legacy, recorded 1 male and 1 female then used AI program to alter the pitch levels. That's why everything sounds like a robot.

Except it didn't sound like the robots. It was if the sound editor turned down the volume the track with the recorded voices and left the tracks with surrounding audio and music intact

The protagonist's voice was robotic no matter what choice, and some other characters suffered the same.

The audio is dynamic, so if you pan the camera away from the source; or they step behind a wall between you and them, etc. it will become muffled or distant. It's likely that it was just a bug if that wasn't going on but sounded like it was. I don't recall having any issues with the audio like that in my playthrough.

They only have the one pitch option for the MC (which has nothing to do with AI, this has existed for a long time). OP is not talking about the MC so your argument makes no sense.

There is a slider to turn down the soundtrack music in options. Why not just… turn it down?
It has noting to do with the music. I tried to turn it down but it didn't bring the volume of the voices back. It is clearly the bug or mistake of sound editor, who was responsible for the voices recording. It fixed itself up further in the game though.
