No gold/materials for breaking crates/vases?

When I started the game and seen my first stack of crates, I obviously dashed into them to see if there was anything hidden in them. I kept doing this the first few hours of my playthrough. I haven’t seen a single item drop from smashing anything. I AM playing on PS5, but figured I’d post here to see if anyone else has ran into this issue?

Not all breakable objects leave materials or treasures.

Get loads of minor materials and minor amounts of gold from breaking things. If you're getting absolutely nothing then something is wrong. There's also occasionally proper lootables hidden under them or behind them.

Might not kick in properly until after the opening sections, not sure but I don't remember there being a difference.

Drops everywhere for me. Playing on PC. Not every container drops stuff but any group of 4 or more normally drops some wood or a couple coins. You will not get a ton of gold breaking things though. Look at shelves with jars on them they normally drop stuff, talking the entire shelf.

You'll get materials automatically, if you break crates. It's visible in the rein bottom corner. But I think it's also easy missable, because of that. (e. g. the materials don't drop and you don't need nore can pickup them.)

The materieal are even logical. (e. g. mostly wood for breaking wood-crates.)

I'm getting quite a few materials, but nothing seemed to drop in the tutorial. All the stuff I found was outside of that.
