Hidden quests
Hi all !
I'm starting this thread to keep a record of all the "hidden quests" we can find in DA Veilguard. What I mean by "hidden quests" is simple : quests with clues, that lead you to a place where an event triggers, but nothing appears in your journal logs.
So far I found some of those quests (I'll had those others mention as it goes) :

- Secret chambers in the lighthouse : you can first unlock the library (one of the 2 round doors with 3 lights on them in the main hall) by reading a riddle on this door. You'll have to align statues in the lighthouse correctly to open it. Come back latter in the library and you should be greated by the upgrade ghost (dunno it's name in english) who will give you another riddle to open the second rounded door. :D

- The second part of the "echo in the well" quest : find the first quest in Hossberg, once you've sealed the well, search the cross roads for another well

- The quests about finding the red spheres floating about in the world : seems to be only 3, interact with them and "??????" will let you know you've done... something ? Found one near the chest after defeating the blighted dragon at the crossroads. Another behind the chest unlocked after fighting the guardianb of secrets in arlathaan forest, and another one near the chest unlocked after defeating the formless one in the necropolis.

- The Guardian of secrets : in arlathaan forest (forest Mire part) a chest on a isolated island will catch your attention. If you far enough in the game, the path all around the island should be free to roam around, and you'll have to play with beams to create a path to the island. Once you do, you'll have to fight the Guardian of Secrets to get to that chest !

- Little candlestick guys you can find here and there in the docks with notes telling you to find more

- Mischievous wisps :
=> in the garden of the necropolis, hidden in the bells, find one it'll show you the way
=> in the basement of the necropolis, interact with an open coffin with bones, the wisp will hide the bones, and you'll have to find them and bring them back to it
=> another room in the necropolis, a wisp is hidding inside an extinguished brazier, say hi and it'll show you the order to lighting all the braziers in the room

- Bringing hope to the Wetlands : find 3 caves with flowers in them, pick up the three flowers, then head back to the battlefield where you fought the 2 blighted dragons and offer them to the spirit standing there.

- The howl statues : in arlathaan, you'll get a message near a howl statue (I think it's near the run aground bot of one of the first quests in the area) from a corpse. It says to mimic the howl's song near the statues to gain something. After you've found the message, you'll be able to "howl" by interacting with the howl statues you find in arlathaan. Each howl hides a present,

- Braziers in Riveïn : (I'm not sure if this one was marked as a quest or not, I've done it a while ago, putting it here in case it was not) :
=> in the entrance area 3 braziers to light up with Taash's ability to open a door. The number of skulls near the braziers will give you the right order.
=> on the beach of the area you unlock after Taash's final compagnon quest : braziers to light up in time to open a door (bones inside a giant snake skeleton mouth), I've only found 3 and the door won't open, so I guess there are at least 4 of them (you can hear the clock ticking as soon as you light up one)

- Immortal despair : it's not really a quest, it really is just a boss no one tells you exists, but when you defeat it, the game takes note of it ("immortal despair has been slained"). So you'll find him by going back where you fought the 2 blighted dragons at Hossberg. He lies in the middle of the empty battlefield, can't miss him.

I got all of these except the candlehops chest (see why below).

The English name is the "Caretaker". I believe the Caretaker only appears at the library when you reach a certain level or after a certain progression through the story, and it does not appear unless you get close to the door.

For people who want to narrow the search: it's on the same island as the Hossberg elluvian. On a next replay, I want to see if it changes the quest when you go to the well in the crossroads before finishing the Hossberg quest.

The English name is "candlehop". According to an online guide, the chest at the end of the candlehop progression is in the lair of the Shadow dragons, but that was destroyed because I chose to save Treviso. When I reviewed all the candlehop locations to check if I missed one, I found the last candlehop lying broken on the floor.

There is one more - also in the garden area, but the long walkway with patios and benches surrounding the garden - the wisp wants you to place flowers in two pots. This is needed to get 100% map completion.

These are "owl" statues, and you "hoot" like an owl to activate them. Some are dangerous.

Is that what those puppets are for? I am feeling stupid.

My chandelier quest bugged and the final one that opens the pathway to the chests won't appear. :(

I don't even know how many of those puppets I found. And the lady in charge of the necropolis gave me a contract on a demon that had possessed one of those puppets. So I thought that was what the chandeliers unlocked. Now you say there is a door with a chest ? Damn, I need to keep looking. :O

Eventually, after you've found all of them, they'll direct you back to a certain place. I don't know if it gives a quest indicator or not, because mine bugged out, but the dialogue from the last one makes it pretty clear it was the last one.

To be clear I'm talking about the candlestick guys in The Docks that make a pretty distinct "POP" or squeaking sound when you're near one.

There´s a hidden quest about bringing hope to the wetlands. I don´t know at what point it triggers, but you probably need to have all the areas unlocked at least.
It´s about finding 3 hidden caves with a flower in them.

I'll be trying to update quests and their infos, though I'm struggling with my memories to remember exactly where and when each hidden quest I found started. x)

The red spheres one is connected to the ending, past the credits. Same creepy voice, same symbol you find on the codex cards. Sure hope they'll be able to expand on that with a new game.

Oh this is nice. I didn't even find the Hossberg ones

There's some owls you can interact with; I think its in Arthalen (sorry if i mispelled)? I haven't figured out how many there are yet, or what it is for yet.

- Braziers in Rivain : (I'm not sure if this one was marked as a quest or not, I've done it a while ago, putting it here in case it was not) :
=> in the entrance area 3 braziers to light up with Taash's ability to open a door. The number of skulls near the braziers will give you the right order.

There are in fact, 4! Found them on my first playthrough, they are very sneaky. There's one by the entrance this puzzle will open, 1 on the beach, 1 up in the busted tower you have to climb the leviathan skeleton to get to, and 1 in the castle ruins just across from there up a ladder.

:o Thank you for this!
