i do recommend turning graphics to low or medium and setting your frame rate to either 60 or 70
First off update your bios with the latest version.
Download Intel® Extreme Tuning Utility (Intel® XTU) and change core ratio from the proposed x55 to x53.
It might have to do with Intel stability issues.
No more crashes for me at least.
Then I got the invincible enemies bug (during A Time to Kill quest) and I couldn't proceed.
What it did fix for me, for EVERYTHING - was moving my game from SSD external drive to my PC SSD drive.
And no, my computer isn't a potato. At all - since I can run it high or ultra with ray thingy
This is ridiculous. I had hope that BioWare would have addressed all of these complaints and concerns, given how they responded to all the (deserved) outrage they inspired with ME3 by going in and improving the game and I also hope this means that they're working on a fix since the game's been buggy for me since release, but until they have a fix for Veilguard, I'm not so bummed I decided to do a replay of Inquisition so I could get the vibes for the sequel down.
I would dearly love to continue playing because I want to see what's going on. But nothing is working.
While obviously I can't promise that this will work for you, after getting 2-4 CTD every hour for the last days since the patch, this is the ONLY thing that has worked, and it hasn't crashed since.
Update your bios. Especially if you have an Asus board. If you use the MyAsus app (Armoury Crate works too but its one of the worst softwares in existence) you can see your current firmware version. If you have anything older than I believe it was like 16, you need to get the newest. I updated to version 1805 and haven't experienced a crash since. It specifically even states in the BIOs updates that they added support for the newest gen Intel processors, so there's a good chance it will help fix other errors you might experience on your PC, too. Just go to System update, and download the driver there. Then use the renamer, then Run the .CAP file. You can either load it onto a USB, or depending on how new your board is, you can access your folders directly in the EZ Flash utility in your BIOs. Just hit F3 when you start it and you should be able to go from there. I assume its similar for other boards, but I have Asus so its the only one I know step by step how to do.
It might seem like a pain, but its 15 min of work that will fix the stability of your PC and -probably- fix all your crashing on DA.
I checks' files and remove shaders, but after this, be very slow. So I put back shaders, the game chacking 10 minutes the files, now the problem gone, no more crash.
Now, I playing with ultra, so I hope the problem solved, the game better with this quality
When updating your Bios make sure: use a usb stick for BIOS update file that complies with the manufacturer's recommendation, most brands will state 32Gb or smaller capacity with FAT32 format.
