Hossberg - The echo in the well
Hi guys !
So, when you get to the swamp lands that are Hossberg, in a blighted village you can find a quest with an Echo in a well. When you end the quest, you destroy the well, and your character says "no more echo", only for the echo to answer "for now".
So, as I hate leaving quests unfinished, I wanted to know if this echo appears again later in another quest, maybe ? Cause I'm near the end (got that marker quest which says if I start it I'll head towards the end of the game), and I have no more quest marker anywhere, did all companions' quests, and I'd hate to miss the rest of that intriguing echo story.
Anyone got any clue ?

It appears again.

Finishing that quest opens a covered well shaft on Beacon Island in the Crossroads

This is one of those situations where fast travelling around makes you miss things. The crossroads is a place you should pass through without skipping, every once in a while.

Thank you both so much ! I knew that "for now" couldn't be there without that echo reapearing later ! Thannnnnks !!

Btw, could you give a int on which little isle to look ? I'm gonna search each of them, but if I don't find it, at least I'll have a hint. x)

there's no quest associated with the final part of the echo story. Same with some other things I've run across. It's a nice nudge to actually wandering around and not mass fast travel.

Crossroads. The snowy islands with the gate of pale reflections and the giant blighted tree.

I found the large well in the crossroads. Nothing happens there but I felt it NEEDS a quest or something like a leap of faith to jump into it. I later closed the small well in the wetlands/swamp and later returned to the large well at the Crossroads. if you go back to the large well, your character says it reminds you of something. If you approach you hear an echo again. Then nothing so far. I might save and jump in. It IS labeled like a door on the map.

Just jump. I was also unsure and saved first, but turns out Rook's legs are quite robust and don't get damaged much from a high fall (in the fade, at least).

at which point does the well in the crossroads open up? I've already sealed the well in the wetlands and my char just mentioned that line about the well in the crossroads and the echo said something, but the well is still sealed with planks and so option to break trough?

Sounds like it might be a bug. Have you destroyed the large blighted tree next to the well yet? Not sure if that is another pre-requisite. Otherwise you can try leaving the island to see if it's open then when you return. The exit of the well is on the lower level, so you can also run down and see if there are other requirements to clear, but I don't remember anything there specifically, except for the tree that requires killing a specific number of darkspawn on the island.

What happens if you jump onto the well?

The well opened up once I opened the blighted tree. Had to leave the crossroads and return to refresh it.
