My favorites, of course, are Neve and Lucanis. Looks like they knew it and trolled me on purpose by asking me to chose because of the invasion! Damn!

And my least favorite, no surprise, is Taash. What whiner!

Davrin and Neve are great, but unfortunately have no synergy with a dagger mage. So I'm rolling with Harding and Lucanis most of the time. Emmerich is a cool character but no synergy with him.

Bellara I never pick unless relevant to plot of current quest, she's just a terrible character. Tash is just the worst, and I feel I'm forced to play with her at times just to make sure she doesn't fall behind in bonding.

I was indeed about the character... though I make good use of most in combat. :)
They all have some cool abilities, like invulnerability, taunt, slow time...

Emmrich in every aspect.

Loved his character, the vibe of the Necropolis, and his quests and felt like it had one of the best resolutions to it at the end with a difficult choice between two good options that are hard to pick between.
Also he's a great support character in a party. The Bell Tolls with Quietus can regen your mana/resources.

He also has a lot of good voice quips about various magical interactions, spirits and the fade.

Bellara, and I'm still recruiting (just had to make the city choice) but I generally like all of them which is different... I say generally because everytime Harding's VA slips and she sounds more like Liara of ME, I twitch.

I found pressing SPACE compulsively to skip the dialog does the trick for me and Taash! :P

I have to confess to have done it, occasionally, with Belara, Hardis and Davrin as well! :O

Davrin is very useful for my spellblade lighting Rook. He can detonate Overwhelmed and has the Taunt skill that can heal me too.

That's why i usually have him on my team or Taash if its dragon related.

Not only she complain noone gets her, but then she scoff at Emmrich for being disgusting!

Taash Taash, Taash, what was your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ writer thinking! I am pretty sure they were thinking to create an obnoxious character,for some reason... Didn't do any good to the game though :/

Tash ofc, they brings so much unnecessary tension and break party dynamics so well. Somebody so rude and condenceding yet asking for special treatment is a perfect image of a non-binary person. Love it

Taash grew on me - I find her pretty funny, she truly is socially inept and even more so when set off by something inadvertently said by another character, but there's a lot going on there. Emmerich is the other character I'll take otherwise, he's camp Vincent Price and it's kind of fun. Haven't settled between Neve or Bellara for the romance for this first playthrough but i think it'll be bellara. more for synergies with an ice mage Rook than anything.
