Veilguard's Class building potential is surprisingly good
I'm around 30 hours into the game and I've been focusing on doing all the side content. At level 35 I'm having a ton of fun spec'ing my warrior, it's at the point where i'm hitting 9,999 dmg crits on sword and shield and i keep getting stronger and then i look at all of the other ways you can build warrior.

The way that you can combine different item effects with passive skills makes me excited to try different styles not only on warrior, but mage and rogue in future playthroughs.

to each their own. I think it's pretty bog standard and uninspired.

I never got that impression.
Once you actually work with it enough you realize just how limiting it is.

it's a lot better than i remember inquisitions build variety being, but it's also been a long time since i played through inquisition.

I'm just posting this cause the class building has way more depth than it seems, it really starts to open up to different play styles after you get further into the game.

I feel the exact opposite, it has more freedom in class building than some other recently released action adventure/ rpg's.

I'll be honest, there are too many options for skills lol. I have been using some of the same skills and only levelling up those.

That's, pretty much how most if not all RPG's from the last 10-15 years have been.

I think if you play on nightmare it will be harder.

You should try Diablo 4 next, it also has INSANE build diversity, so much potential, much wow!

I haven't tried warrior but I was pretty disappointed with the rogue skill tree, I'm trying a melee rogue and 2/3 of the tree doesn't synergize with the 1/3 I'm building in whatsoever. That's just one build for one class though, can't speak for the rest.

Warrior is fun, but my build isn't quite optimised. I'm still exploring skills to see which ones i like more.

Path of Exile*
u could start a whole new pvp just by that comment

but yes when i saw the dav's skill tree all i think is "thats just a baby path of exile passive tree"

so yeah if combat is deep here, you should try poe but that game is a time sink
