Where are the Mods?
Not trying to step on any toes. That being said, does anyone know if there are any mods (existing or in development) which will bring DAV more in line with the tone of DA:O.?

I asked the same, modders are so neutered by nexus mods that the only thing posted there are hundreds of sliders for character creation, I stopped checking.

That is really too bad. From the reviews I have read, it seems like the ending of the game is really strong.

But the whole "modern" content is not for me.

Doubt there will be any meaningful mods. To have a lot of mods, you also need a passionate playerbase.

Care to elaborate?

You need something like an overhaul mod for that, one of those like STALKER Gamma levels of development.

What gives you the impression that the game is moddable in a meaningful way? Most of Bioware games are not modder-friendly and mods wll mostly amount to visual/numerical tweaks.

It's Frostbite engine, it's absolute pain to mod, unfortunately. We may get some mods but if at all, any substantial ones are likely months if not years away, and even then I wouldn't say it's going to be much.

Frostbite is a moddable engine, but very limited in that aspect.

Veilguard isn't designed for mods. Any future mods will first need someone to make tooling and figure out a way to conveniently add mods to the game. For DA:I that took years, and it's still not exactly perfect. And with the change of tone and focus in DA:V, and increasing complexity of game assets, it's an open question if anyone capable will work on it.

Don’t sit around waiting on a mod, just play DA:O if that's what you need.

-Play it in English
-In the pop up that lets you change tattoo/gender/scars, don't pick what you don't want to do
-Accept that Taash is going to be non binary and realise it's fine to not care what someone else is, or if you really can't cope, close your eyes and think of England, or just treat it like you would other parts of games you think are annoying, like Wynne/da2 Anders/Sera or whoever else annoyed you before.

If you want mods that are not allowed on Nexus or game banana there is a website called "Based Mods" if there is any mods that you are hoping for, for a certain game that would be banned on nexus or Banana it will be there.

I don't agree with most of the mods on there but sometimes normal mods will get banned on nexus for some reason or another and it will normally end up here like "Dead rising remastered Original text and dialog mod" for example.

Edit: Just looked on there i do not think they have any mods for Veilguard since it is so new. So i think you will have to wait awhile.

Thank you for the answers. It seems like "wait and hope" is the way to go.

About to say if it was the older unreal engine they used for mass effect it would be a possibility but not frostbite. Look at andromeda and tell me how "successful" people were in modding it outside of basic stuff.
