The situation does not look good for Bioware.
I mean, of course, the peak online numbers are not bad. But this is a Dragon Age game... With such a popular franchise, I expected to see much higher numbers, and they are starting to fall steadily.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R., which hasn't even been released yet, is already overtaking Dragon Age in the top sales on Steam. I don't know if you've forgotten, but EA has closed companies for less. It's too early to talk about any success or failure, but it doesn't look good for Bioware, it doesn't look good at all.
It is unlikely that the company will be closed, but this is another argument not in favor of Bioware.

Muting you because I'm tired of these posts. You guys don't determine this, the people behind it would, so the fact you all keep pulling this out your ass over and over is just to manifest what you want to believe.
Maybe that will be the case in the future, but so far it's not. Just move on to a game you enjoy and stop kicking and screaming. It's tiring. Goodbye.

Ignorance is bliss, but ignorance is not gonna make the game sell more and somehow become a success.

What was the last genuinely uncontroversial BioWare game. Serious question.

What was the last Bioware game to come out prior to the political antiwoke online screeching? Ah, whatever game they put out before gamergate, I think.

I'm not talking about controversy, all Bioware games have been controversial in one way or another, but their last GOOD game was the Inquisition, yes, it raised a lot of questions, but it was a good game that sold 12 million copies.
Over the years, I got the impression that after the Inquisition, Bioware died, now it's a corporate, soulless husk that cosplays Bioware and makes the same soulless games as itself.

EA's fault.

OP, unless you work for BioWare, there's no way for you to have any accurate information on these facts. What’s the game’s success on consoles? How much did it cost to make? You have nothing—no real numbers.

Maybe you’re right; maybe you’re wrong—who knows? Why not just wait for the official numbers instead of creating strange threads like this one?

Also, it doesn’t look like you own the game (at least on Steam), and it’s a single-player game. In what way does it affect you if the game is a success or not? Just play your game, have fun with it, you shouldn't care about the rest.
Correct me if I am wrong but does not EA literally brag in the first week of anytime they sell 1 million copies in the first week?

The first week has passed and they are silent.

What does that say? This is the first time. Why so silent passed the first week on this one?

You're wrong.

I was concerned because I care. I've been a fan of Bioware games for almost 20 years, and to see a company that has given me some of the best games I've ever played for 10 years do nothing but destroy its reputation with every new release is physically painful.

It doesn’t matter. EA has killed studios to eliminate their competition. They know exactly what they are doing. They are making so much money now compared to back then that it is incomprehensible. The fact that BioWare still exists should show you that they are considered a tax write off for EA to push “the message” forward into gaming. They frankly don’t care about making good games or making a profit. They are a propaganda company first, gaming company second. They own Madden and FIFA. They already won. These 2 games are pulling in 80% of EA’s revenue by themselves. They are glorified sports themed gambling casinos and they make billions of dollars selling gambling to children. BioWare has failed upwards under EA they only exist as an inside joke amongst top EA executive members. They could not care less as long as Madden and FIFA keeps making them billions.

Then you should care less. I’ve played DAO and DAI, and I find DAV better than those two games, which I didn’t even finish. (And it’s not about “woke” stuff—I don’t care about that, like any normal player shouldn’t. I enjoy the action and graphics in this new game.)
Either BioWare will gain a new fan base and thrive, or people won’t like it, and they’ll eventually disappear. You’ll find new games from other companies that you enjoy, and that should be your only concern.

The fact that you don’t like this game (if that’s the case) doesn’t take away from the fun you had with the previous games, by the way.
Dang... I uhh...I'm actually moved by that one, +1 for you.
