Quick, google "Murder" for me and tell me the key word you're missing here.
The public response around this issue is incredibly childish. Abby is a character living in a post apocalyptic world where any stranger may be a legitimate danger. Joel is the man who killed her family. I hate to break this to everybody, but Abby, unlike you, wasn't there to see Joel teach Elle how to play the guitar and all that. Your inability to understand how her character could be the way she is is either disingenuous or coming from the mentally stunted.
Not liking her is understandable, but you all acting like you all would feel morally conflicted about icing the man who murdered your family is kind of disturbing.
By the way, it's spelled "Taash," not "Trash."
I think some people just "hate" them because their friends and favourite streamers tell them they should, and they think they can farm awards by telling everyone on the steam forums that they too object to this video game character. It's all very middle school peer pressure stuff.
In reality, this much ire directed at a fictional character is just plain bizarre and creepy.
I'm horrified that an LGBT writer wrote an LGBT character that has every stereotypical trait that people mock LGBT for.
She's intolerant, loud, aggressive, opinionated, hypocritical etc. My head cannon is that patrick weeks or whatever his name is was a secret trump supporter and this was done to mock.
Seen it mentioned elsewhere too.
But it wasn't a Trump supporter mocking angle it was protest against capitalism and Blackrock angle.
Not that we will ever know for sure.
Trick Weeks might be a deep cover anti trans agent lol.
He even gives a clue to it with his new name "Trick"
The issue is... in the face of war, let alone world ending conflict against GODS.... the last thing people are going to be thinking about (especially when they're on the front lines) are whether or not they are a male or female or something else in between. Her story is the only story that didn't actually contribute to the overall plot.
