Singleplayer only. I'm assuming it will have controller support but I don't know for sure.

Yes for controllers, the controls displayed in the gameplay trailer show controller icons.

It's my understanding that this is meant to be an honest single-player game with no microtransactions. I'm looking forward to it for that reason.

I haven't tried it with Dragon Age but I tested the method on Mass Effect. It makes you more involved in the story and the now, and you have several brains to remember everyone you've met if they come up again.

When I was younger, I really got invested in Mass Effect watching by someone (who is actually working on this game now btw) play the game and make choices. It was like a movie where I could talk to the characters and make suggestions in real time.

Always nice to have ideas for coop games, but this list lacks the very obvious Larian games : Divinity Original Sin, Divinity Original Sin 2, and Baldur's Gate 3, which all have very good couch coop with controllers.

Also some of the games in this list are online only, not couch coop.

i for one am happy about it not having multiplayer, on bioware games multiplayer has always felt shoehorned in

i already preordered the game on ea app because would inevitably going to get a code from steam to redeem on ea store when it releases anyway so might as well own it all the same place since i own all the dragon age on ea app meh i was going to say its a EA game multiplayer will be a $5 dollar lootbox reward all kidding aside hope the game is amazing

There's no multiplayer and you don't need the EA app if you buy on steam.
