It's my understanding that this is meant to be an honest single-player game with no microtransactions. I'm looking forward to it for that reason.

When I was younger, I really got invested in Mass Effect watching by someone (who is actually working on this game now btw) play the game and make choices. It was like a movie where I could talk to the characters and make suggestions in real time.
Always nice to have ideas for coop games, but this list lacks the very obvious Larian games : Divinity Original Sin, Divinity Original Sin 2, and Baldur's Gate 3, which all have very good couch coop with controllers.
Also some of the games in this list are online only, not couch coop.
