Imagine being so angry at life that
... you don't want other people to be happy.

... you go to a chat forum for a game that you don't want to play to yell at people who want to play the game.

... you think every game in the world has to cater to your personal preferences and sensibilities, and lose your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ over somebody making a game you are not interested in.

But thankfully that worked out in my favor because high level footage destroyed a lot of my optimism for the game with how obvious live-service assets from the previous iteration is still there. Im pretty sure Im a bigger fan of the series, and Bioware, than any of the so called Dragon Age fans who only care about romance. Im not even going to tell you to stop making baseless assumptions with your very ignorant mindset, after all you are only doing your job.

The game so far looks just like inquisition tho i dont get the problem. All these old ppl are complaining the game is not like origins, but most of the fanbase for veilgaurd will be coming from inquition (which was massively succesful and won many awards) + esp since the story is a direct sequel to inquisition

Its only logical for the game to be more like inquisition from both story and business perspective

So everyone who played Origins is old? lmao.

Origins was an actual crpg this just looks like a console hack and slash.

So you are saying that instead of being angry at whoever decided the game wouldn't be up for purchase in you country, you came here trying to spoil the fun for everyone? That is a very interesting take and kind of telling.

I know the game wasn't/isn't up for preorder in India because their rating boards haven't approved the game yet. The wording by EA was:

This could just as well be the case for your country and does not necessarily mean it won't be available to buy later.

No matter how you turn it though, coming to the forums and being toxic because you are disappointed is a very childish thing to do and will only bring you more stress instead of relief. No matter what you say, we will play the game and we will enjoy it if it's good. You could just as well be happy for us, and in return get sympathy from our side. The way you're approaching your situation will do nothing but stir your anger, if you consider that fun, have at it. It could be so much better, though.

P.S.: This post was written by a sane human being who prefers to believe in the good in people.

Veilguard was never going to be a CRPG. BioWare hasn't made one since Origins. None of y'all haters could possibly have been expecting a CRPG. That's like commenting negatively on a WoW expansion because the gameplay is different than Warcraft 3.

I never stated I expected veilguard to be a crpg I'm simply making the argument that origins is the superior entry in the series because it's a crpg. You are welcome to disagree which I presume you will.

No, because I've already made that same argument on prior threads, and I don't love repeating myself.

I can understand that someone who likes cRPGs over aRPGs would prefer that this be a cRPG. But it baffles me that this is a complaint. I don't go about complaining about the non-occurrence of impossible things.

I didn't buy it straight at release, as I was just a child (okay, mid-teens) then and didn't have such amounts of my own money to blow on games. I did have all six CDs for BG in that glorious cardboard case. BG2, when I got it, was in a bland old plastic CD case. Oh, the good old times when you could play games without having to worry about work...

These people have no reading comprehension and make wild assumptions to serve their needs while completely ignoring the facts that they dont like. Thats why I keep calling them employees because I dont want to believe people can be this ignorant and completely lack self-awareness.

If I think this game is bad and I don't feel any investment in its future, I'll just move on. (Starfield has one last chance to make me care, but I'm hedging my bets that I'll be leaving that forum.)

Right now, I'm hoping VG will be something worthy to add to the Dragon Age™ repertoire. (I still don't care for DA2.) Otherwise, I wouldn't bother checking out this forum.

You should revisit DA2 if you feel so inclined. A lot of DA fans discovered a new love for it.
Maybe, but there are several upcoming games that need a once-over and, if meeting whatever gaming criteria I'm jonesing for, playing them.

Still, Charismatic Hawke 100%. "What do you call it when someone kills everyone and takes all their stuff?" Charismatic: "Adventuring!"

I mean, when i come here i see you literally living in this forum, making new posts every 5 seconds and commenting like your life depends on it.

You're not exactly a role model here, right? Just pot kettle black.

You're just free hype for them at this point. Unpaid work.

First, I don't think you are quite using "pot & kettle" correctly.

Second, it is very weird that you equate devoting time to hype up a game you want to play on its forum, to spending your time ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on a game you don't want to play on that game's forum.
