There seems to be quite a bit of necromancy in Veilguard so I am interested to see how that works in the game.
The companion Emmrich Volkarin is a necromancer and the played character can join the faction "The Mourn Watch" which apparently are elite guardians and keepers of the Grand Necropolis.
My Inquisitor recently recruited Cassandra and I remember her conversation about the relative that raised her after her parents death. How that person was more interested in the dead than the living relatives.
Don't think that I will make a mage on my first PT but I am curious about necromancy. It looks like it could be an interesting faction and make for a interesting character.
I am so so looking forward to meeting Emmrich, so far I haven't seen any videos because I do not want to know too much going in but players on the BioWare Social Network seems to be very pleased by him. Manfred the skeleton looks like an interesting character as well. So far I haven't read Tevinter Nights but it seems to pop up in discussions an awful lot so I might just get around to it. Especially if they make us wait for very much longer before releasing the game.
I am hoping that you can make an interesting gray spellcaster joining the Mourn Watch. It would be a nice contrast to my earlier mages that have always gone the route of lightning or fire. Currently I am reading the book "Sabriel" by Garth Nix. There a necromancer needs to be musical and they use bells so sway the dead. Also swords in the bells come up short. The book somehow got me in a mood for a necromancer spellcaster, seeing how another fictional magical world handles death. If it means that you will see something special in the game that other players will not have access to then I am all the happier.
That would be brilliant. If your non-Mage Mournwatcher could become a penpall with Dagna then it would be perfect!
The inanity of saying “this isn’t DA, it’s so different from DA:O” when this is the third DA game out of four that os very different from DA:O” never gets old. Oh wait … it does. Immediately.
Your hot take is very room temperature, my guy.
