The two major story confirmations we have so far:

1. They aren't addressing the person you chose to leave in the fade in this game.

2. There's going to be a Deep Roads segment, but they beat around the bush on whether or not the Dwarf city that's near the Tevinter Imperium will have a mission.

I was one of many who decided to chance Hawke staying behind, because of what Flemeth said in the prologue of DA2; does that mean everyone has been wondering whether Hawke is alive or dead for 10 years now ?
Did the Amell title go to Bethany ? Can mages actually inherit titles now that I put Leliana on the sunburst throne ? Did Isabela keep working for the Inquisition after they sacrified her wife to save Stroud of all people ?

Yeah it would be very bizarre if we couldn't go to that other Dwarf city this game...


Really hoping we get some decent Dwarf lore this time around, the Descent was nice but I want more of it in the main game this time around.

I've always assumed whoever gets left in the Fade dies. It's been ten years, no one could survive that.

I can't even remember who i left in the fade was it DLC? or main story..

It's the main story, the Grey Warden quest. You can choose to either leave Hawke or Loghain/Alistair/Stroud in the Fade.

Yes, they've shown off that there are a lot of customization in the character creator and all the races from Inquisition return.


However, they have NOT shown off any CAC footage of Dwarves, the 3 created characters they've been showing off for demos are:

An Human Shadow Dragon Rogue.

An Elf Grey Warden Sword and Shield Warrior.

A Qunari Lord of Fortune Mage.

DAI? I honestly don't remember.. It was pretty forgettable. wasn't Hawke i believe.

That choice is forgettable if you get the default Grey Warden man, you can actually get Allister or Loghain in that decision depending on your choices.


If you don't get an Origins character the other dude is some forgettable Grey Warden from DA2.

Will this game even have importing or decision making from previous games at all? I honestly forgot how much EA hyped that up for dragon age 2 moving forward, but it's been so long that I don't know if they even maintain the save import system. I guess they can do some kind of recap for you to pick some stuff, but at this point I don't know if they'd even care to bother with it.

They have a tarot card thingy at the start where you make decisions from all the previous games.

The game starts off with a 'Previously on Dragon Age' segment where you pick a bunch of events from previous DA games and customize the previous DA protag you made so they can show up in the story.

Good to know, probably the easiest way to handle it too, I was never a fan of the import save site thing that EA set up as it had no future proofing, adding a system in game to do it is smarter and won't suffer from being lost to time.

And frankly it helps keep some of the more minor plot details of prior games fresh in my mind.

Also this game can be played completely offline and does not require EA connection so them instituting an in game Tarot card system makes sense since we will not need to be online at all to play. This is actually so great. I am happy to be able to play completely offline in The Veilguard.

I have pretty much forgotten the lore from the Decent-dlc so it will be fun to play through that part again.

Had no idea that we were going to go into the Deep Roads again, that is great! Hope that there will be something new lorewise that comes up.

I know nothing about Kal Sharok, apparently I need to read up a little bit on the lorepart for the dwarwes. Currently my Inquisitor is wrangling the swamp and we are not quite ready to meet up The Elder One yet so there is still some time to go before seeing the Deep Roads in the game.


Thank you guys, it was really interesting to read about the dwarwes because I know so little about them.
