So now we're gonna use video games to actually measure an individual's intellectual cabilities right ?
Literally reminds me of the trolls on the souls-like forums where whatever unlucky person actually creates and post saying the game is unfair or too hard - automatically gets the "get good" BS.
Absolutely disgusting that people can't actually enjoy simpler games without getting called out.
Then i apologyze - i thought you were reffering to gamers themselves not the corpos.
To be honest i wasn't really looking for a "got you moment" - just seemed weird to actually measure an individual's intellectual capabilities with video games.
I seen people complain about DOOM being too hard even though it's a very easy game.
Another point is yeah i do get what you mean about buying each year the new version for a specific game - as someone who is a football fan i also do get FIFA or FC as they re-named it now because i like football and the career mode is actually pretty good.
I usually stay away from the Ultimate Team type of BS in the game, just wastes time and online matches are a pain in the ass because of player balancing.
I am neither of those - i am simply a person who enjoys DA series and to that extent it can be the best game they ever made or the worst thing they release - i'll still buy it to check it out, i owe it to myself as a fan of the series.
Whatever other people want to do is up to them but that topic i made which has like 11 pages i was mostly trying to encourage fans of the series to give it a shot because chances are it's not gonna be as bad or as doom and gloom as a lot of people already think it's going to be despite the game is not even released yet and they didn't play it.
I haven't played it either but as a DA fan i think i have a way better idea of what to expect from the series overall.
They want your money make no mistake - they just have no idea or don't give a crap that you prefer DAO vs DA2 or DAI as a standolone title in the series.
Personally for someone like me loved all 3 games in the DA series so i did enjoy DA2's combat even DAI's combat although it was annoying at times compared to DAO so to that extent i'm kinda happy they went with the more action route.
There were moments in DAO and DAI where i was thinking "how much do i have to drag on this damn encounter or rift..." - just gets beyond annoying.
Dragon Age fans from the first hour have just seen this franchise drift in a direction that they often don't like.
I remember being active on the official Bioware forums for a long time in the DAO days. Now those forums were a cesspool sometimes, but there was also a ton of good feedback when DA2 came out, up until they were ultimately closed off.
Most of that feedback was totally ignored.
There's still a good number of fans that came in mostly with Inquisition who are really into the franchise still (and Inquisition was a good game) and who will likely jump on Veilguard regardless of the style of gameplay.
I myself will probably buy it at some point to see the continuation of the story, but so far it looks like a generic title to me. Nothing has been shown that excites me.
Yeah, honestly I don't remember.
People got really aggressive sometimes on those forums too, which probably didn't help the relationship with the devs either.
But still, there's definitely a point to be made that we weren't ever really listened to.
Hmm.... I was there with Dragon Age Origins and I enjoy all the games. It is quite possible to enjoy the first game and the go on having fun in the rest of them as well. If Dragon Age can only be like DA:O for you to be happy then I can see how you miss it. Doesn't change the fact that some of us are still here from the beginning and still having fun.
Oh..I had forgotten about the extra people that rained in at different point in the game in DA:II, I do not miss those guys. It made planning a fight so irritating,
You know about the new BioWare forum, right. Have no idea if you liked it or not but there are a lot of people from the old forum there. It is really fun now with the game coming out. Just so you don't miss out in case you did not know.

Most actual DA fans are pretty optimistic.
I am almost certain that Solas voice actor is indeed the same actor from the inquisition. listen to him in the game play reveal. that is the same actor. you gotta realize also it has been 10 years so maybe he may sound a little different in a line or something just because he is older now too. but it is absolutely him. I can tell. if it was not same voice actor i would be shocked because it sure sounds like the Solas I know.
