I dont get the hate for the game
I understand its not completely like its predecessors, but its been like 10 years since the last game. We are allowed to have new things and changes. From the game play, the combat looks amazing. The environments? Beautiful. It's also only the early stage of it. If people are complaining about not enough RPG, dawg, think about it. Its spoilers. I understand why they limited it. The whole fortnite gibberish? I dont see it and lets be real, who tf actually cares about it. The style is not owned by fortnite and there is very little vibes of it in dragon age.

My only actual complaint its the Solas voice actor but that's because i'm not used to it.

Do not come for me because i dont hate it. I love the franchise and im not mad about the game either. People can like or hate it, be respectful.

There is no hate, An objective reality is that this is is an extremely generic console game in the Mass Effect 3 style.

The gameplay reveal shows us a console game, played on PS5, that has very generic graphics and textures, delivered in what is a clone of the DA:I prologue.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I1IcCwtOyHU

Everything about this game is screaming 5/10 mid tier generic cookie cutter game at this point.

The gameplay redeemed the trailer.

We are not going to get back to Origins with its 6 to 10 dialogue pathways, but this looks in line with Inquisition, which did become my favorite. Also, I think the most dated part of Inquisition is the combat where everyone had to rely on constant barriers and tanks with their shield buff. This will hopefully bring the combat up to today's level!

I disagree. The problem is when you have people saying things like "this is a 10/10 masterpiece" or "The best game ever" instead of just enjoying the game. They must let the world know they are the good guy the other people the haters because in order to enjoy this mediocre content it must be defined as 10/10 when it's really not.

People who take personal offence when a game is objectively bad because they don't want to feel guilt or shame for enjoying an objectively bad game, instead of just owning the reality by saying it was within their personal tolerance, it's good enough for me.

it just looks really bland and ugly. Whether fair or not, its going to be compared to Baldur's Gate 3, and I can already tell its going to fall way short of that expectation.

Yeah, just a bunch of grumpy old-people whining about how world is changing. And we can't keep up with those changes...
But don't mind us. Enjoy whatever you like and let others to enjoy what they like (whining).

Hmm...You dont understand. I remember when I first saw Cassandra in Inquisition, I thought "wow".. They created such beautiful character. It was a huge step-up compared to her looks in Dragon Age 2, in terms of details, mimics and overall realistic look, with the scar and everything. Then there was Cullen, Sera, Bull, Dorian.. all very believable characters, perfectly crafted, detailed. When you talked to them, it really felt like talking to a person. That was 10 years ago. We were supposed to get Dragon Age 4. For some strange reason, I thought they will make it even better, visually. I thought we will basically get a real-life movie. They had enough time to do it, for sure. Now Im looking at those trailers and it is me who doesnt understand what happened. Why is everything simplified, blurred, why did they step away from the previous beauty when they already had it in their hands! Some people cant understand why the changed art style takes away the feel and what remains? Knowing what could be but we will never get it again.

Truth is, the people hating on it are the same people who hate on everything all the time. It's just the way they live their sad, pathetic lives.
The trailer was good, the gameplay reveal was 10/10, the game is shaping up to be better than all others combined.

Your mindset is so backwards.
The people who enjoy the game rarely ever speak. The people who mindlessly hate and troll are loud af and overwhelm the scene. Its always been this way.

We need more positivity in gaming culture. Its been toxic af for decades and the negativity is so stale and tiresome. Unfortunately, 90% of the "gamers" (if you can even call them that anymore) are just sad, lonely, pathetic creatures desperate for attention.

This is just the equivalent extreme viewpoint to the one that is opposes. Equally toxic and non constructive.

I don't understand how anyone could find anything remotely positive in this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ unless he's very, very young.

I get the hate.

Oh, not the "woke" BS - anyone who is crying about the game being woke needs to grow up, get a life and/or grow a pair.

But it appears to be less of a RPG and more of an action game which is entirely inconsistent with the series (especially the original). It looks like someone played The Witcher series and decided that was too complicated and dumbed it down. I always played the DA series for the stories and the tactics. The story remains to be seen but the tactics are gone now. It's a click-fest and isn't something I'm interest in at all.

I actually wonder if the folks at EA/Bioware started to see what BG3 was becoming, decided they couldn't meet that standard and so switched the combat to be more like AssCreed.

Either way, my interest went from Wishlisted to Zero.

Dragon Age has been action RPG since Dragon Age 2, what are you even talking about.

DA:I was playable as a strategy RPG. This looks like Baby's First Witcher Game.

DA:O was was a console game designed for controller users. It started there. But it was a party based RPG where you could control any member of the party as your main in action. This is single character button mashing may as well be quick time event rpg experience in a linear, ME3 style game. It's Rachet and Clank do Dragon age.

It's going to be an extremely mid tier game with mixed reviews at best and it's not going to be the haters fault. It's going to be the game was just mediocre.

The only thing we don't know is how good the story is but i'm going to lean towards Twilight esque cringe.
