There's something about Inquisition that I personally just hated. Even that was this colourful, blase, plain game. Not the dark fantasy that I signed up for with Origins. They had a great formula, and they keep trying to back flip it, imo each one being worse than the last. Seems to be attempts to appeal to the highest amount of random players/pull new players in too.
Dreadwolf sounds pretty dark, atleast. The word dread is foreboding of dark things coming... like the Dark Spawn.
Dragon Veil sounds like sunshine and rainbows. My heart sank as soon as I saw that name change. Then I watched that trailer, and saw they've turned it into an energetic, overly colourful comedy skit. I want Dragon Age for the dark adventures. The loss, sadness, despair, and eventual overcoming colossal odds to win a victory painted by the loss of many souls/lands.
Instead, it's got that art style that personally, I can't stand. The colourful, pudgy, animated, humour tone of Borderlands. It's got that humour/tone of other games too, of games like Dishonoured, and Deathloop. It's just the wrong tone for what DA is supposed to be. They've been dunking on my boy DA since Origins came out.
I am saying all this as that's how I feel. I don't like that gameplay tone at all. Others may feel different, but I am absolutely disappointed.
