Does Your Gender Affect Romance Options?

What it says on the tin, I wanted to ask if gender (or other player character options, if there are others) affects who you can woo. AKA wondering if I have to plan to be hetero or gay or if I can go in without worrying on that affecting who's datable.

Thanks for your time/anyone who helps. I have a friend super into the first two games so I'm going to be finally sinking into those before getting this.

thank you for checking out my game.
Yes, some romances, quests and NPC interaction are influenced by body type.
If you are interested in the romances, you can find the "All Character Sheets" guide here on steam. Romanceable characters that have "body type 1/2" written in their sheet are exclusive to that type of protagonist.
Other character creation choices influence the game, such as the class and parent. A breakdown of this can be found in Ranadiel's Guide here in steam.
I have also posted a table of characters on Discord that shows who can recruited and romanced.

This is so dumb! They're body types, thus not directly connected to sex anymore and yet there are still only just 2, just like before and, when you look at those "types", you can immediately tell which one is actually a male and which one is actually a female! I wonder why? It's as if they're actually just male and female, like they've always been!
