scan your funkos in?

think at some point they will just load all the funkos in and make it where if you have one you can go to a site on your phone and scan the barcode like their app does. or just link your funko account to it and bring your funkos irl into it? kinda like the amibos or disney infinity or the skylanders or the lego universe game did?

qr codes probably, maybe a few sweepstakes and stuff. especially if this becomes a 4 player mmo

They could do it but it probably would only work with newer funko pops since I it would be a lot of work putting in funko pops they made 5 years ago. Also it may be a pain to add limited edition funko pops. The only way they can really do it is if they add little cards with codes in boxes of the funko pops kinda like the codes in pokemon packs that you get for their online card game.

This game says 60+ characters (so I'm guessing 61 lol).
But I don't think there will be any system for scanning in figures like in some of the other games. And honestly, I'm glad for it. Those games are insanely expensive to actually enjoy properly because of how many different sets you need.

I had LEGO Universe, and most of the sets I got were gifted to me. I wouldn't be able to afford them all.

thats why i also mentioned the funko site where you can scan your pops so you can look on the phone app to see what you have. maybe a way to link that to the game and just have them pull those over. so you could just use what you have..no need to run out and buy

But unless you happen to own a ton of figures, you'd have to go out and buy them to get access.

assuming they do the whole TTL thing, the devs could do what angry birds transformers did; add extremely basic qr code symbols/functions so everything can work even after the product/s becomes scarce

Now that would be properly wholesome 100, I just hope I don't have to take my mint condition, Pickle Rick Chase variant, Out of the box as that would DESTROY the resale value as we all know it will be worth heckin craploads of chedder in the future.

i meant just use the ones you have and use the bar code at the bottom of the box just like you do if you use the funko app to put them on your collected list not run out to buy them

no dude it'd be a use the bar code on the box to scan them not open them up

Yes, you'd still need to buy the figures to get the code. Unless they'd let you take your phone to the store and just start scanning things.

Also would mean that limited edition figures wouldn't be available to most.

This was the issue with the LEGO Dimensions game. You had to spent a fortune buying all the various sets to get all the figures to unlock stuff in the game.
