Missing Executable?

Dead Game, will not start, missing it's main startup files.
I did a Verify Data and it passed, How is that good, when it is missing Critical Data

How do I get a refund? Or will this get repaired?
Antivirus and Firewall was turned off and still missing Startup files.

I downloaded it again on a different PC and the files are missing for sure, game is not complete, I am entitled to a refund for at least this corrupted Game Download.

I have just realized something, Is it a false Start Icon? And maybe it is just the base part of the other Crazy Machines 1.5 addons?

What info? There is nothing to send. When the Crazy Machines 1.5 is downloaded it states that it is ready to play.
I got and plain white icon shortcut for the game on my desktop with no color detail to it, just plain white. When I click it to start the game it says the game can not be started, Missing Executable.

The Crazy Machines 1.5 is not a complete download, it is supposed to have 135mb and it only downloads 64mb, that is the problem the Steam servers have a serious problem with this download install. It is missing half of it's files.

I got a full refund from Steam. I emailed them and told them why sould I purchase a Game that is not working. They took care of the problem with refund.

desktop icon 'sure' but ran from inside steam ... the icon is also white vs what it should be and get a msg about testapp.exe not being found

seems to me they tryin to sell the same app twice under diff names ..least path is going into another games folder to access files 'odd I kinda think ..maybe what the issue is perhaps!


do notice trying to click desktop icon 'does seem to be downloading the game over each time before it tries to run it and gives the error msg ...WHEN RAN INSIDE STEAM dont think it did the same thing ..path issue maybe ..did have same end result n was missing exe tho

This Crap of a Game has been going on, for almost a Year now and nothing has been done about it.
Look at my thread's Date and see for yourself. Do not buy this Game is a waist of time and a ripp off!

I start the game from: ...\Steam\steamapps\common\Crazy Machines 15\new from the lab\testapp.exe
I do not know why works in this way. It won't work when i try to start from Steam icon "play"

Yup. Getting the exact same error message. It used to work however. Can't click on the Publisher or Developer links that Support lists either. I'll see if I can get in touch with them. I'd rather have the game than a refund.

Hey, i refund the game very soon after my post. When i run the game i see there are many similar puzzles which you can play in other games from Crazy Machines.

I did a system search for the testapp.exe and it ISN'T missing, but it's in the \new from the lab\ folder where the error says it can't find it. The other two games (Inventors Training Camp and New from the Lab) run fine. Found something else that might be the actual issue & will report back after a test.

OK, I found a "duplicate" folder: One is named: \Steam\SteamApps\common\Crazy Machines 15\new from the lab

and one named: \Steam\SteamApps\common\Crazy Machines 15\new from thelab

Note the spelling difference. Unfortunately, neither removing that folder nor leaving it yet syncing it with properly spelled on that actually has files resolved the problem.

Steam Support can't do anything and only gave some links to search. So, posting this here for someone else to pick up the torch & dig into the issue. I've spent enough time on it frankly.

For the record, while this is an inconvenience, it does not lock people out of any content. Crazy Machines 1.5 Steam entry is nothing more than a failed attempt to combine New from the Lab and Intentors Training Camp, which work fine.

Wait, so Crazy Machines New from the Lab and Inventors Training Camp is the same thing as Crazy Machines 1.5?
