Scuttle? Retire? - Bring these options back.
In previous titles if you needed to make room in your fleet, you could scuttle/retire ships which would then allow you to build new/better ships.

As it stands, the only way I see to do this currently is by throwing the ships you don't want/need on a suicide mission and waiting for them to die. Thus loosing the resources you spent on them, and valuable time in mission due to FORCED HYPERSPACE.

It would be great if BBI could bring these options back as they will improve gameplay.

A great example of this:

I was given ships at the start of a mission, however my ship capacity was already maxed in those fields. Then the mission suggested I build various types of craft that I was unable to do because I was at cap, with no enemies to throw ships at and no way to get rid of ships. The mission proved difficult due to this lack of a simple game mechanic.

Devs, thank you for your attention and consideration.

Hold down ALT key and right click on a ship

Would have been nice if they included that info in the tutorial for people...

select a ship or multiple ships. Hold down the alt key on the keyboard. While holding it down, right click on a ship. go to orders. Press scuttle. It has to be there...
