Mod support idea: Custom Campaigns
I was reading the comments to the devs talking about the June update for Patch 1.1, and everyone kept complaining and insisting on the devs making a new campaign. Which is laughable, that'd cost way too much time and money for what would likely be little return.

But then I got to thinking. How feasible would it be to give modders access to tools to make their own campaigns? I'm thinking back to Starcraft 1 days, where modders could make custom maps, set events to trigger, and so on. Sure, there would be no voice actor support, but if someone is willing to settle for no cutscenes and no voiced dialogue, then text dialogue should be fine.

The tricky bit (to my uninformed mind) would be figuring out how to incorporate such a thing into the main menu. Not sure how that'd work, or if it'd be a button done through one of the non-actual campaign menus.

TLDR: BBI/Gearbox, give modders the tools to make their own custom campaigns. If someone feels strongly enough about the campaign being "wrong", well they can make their own.

You definitely have a very good point! All depends on modding tools , but It would be really cool

They can't provide epic modding tool..
Why ?
They will then lose the ability to create DLC or expansions.

The Witcher 3 received such tool because the game was fully completed

Except they already stated they will provide such a tool. What does modding tools have to do with prevent DLC?

Some people need to spread negativity in every corner of a game they hate

Counter argument: A custom campaign would be using assets in game, or eventually modded units (once modders figure out how to make new unit models and figure out weapon/system code]. But any official DLC would still be wanted, since it would likely come with new cinematics (voiced or not), new weapon or ability types, new unit models, and basically add more toys for modders to play with.

I realized as I was typing this up that I'm basically describing Starcraft 2's modding scene, since while the game is no longer being officially developed, mods have helped keep that game active and innovative.
