Each to their own, I saw the cutscene at the end of mission 7 and that was the end of it for me, the point where the story became fan fiction. Ive not played the campaign since, not interested in that imagining of the story at all.

As for the game, its more like the mobile version of Homeworld than like HW 1 or 2. Im not saying its bad per say, but its not as good as HWRM HW1, 2 or Cataclysm. Feels kinda dumbed down to me.

I mean sure the game looks great and Its more Homeworld and but sadly its far away from that epic like HW 1 and 2 was. Campaign feels more like an dlc so maybe u could be dissapointed, especially when it comes to the antagonists. So no idea if u like this new HW, thats up to u

If your going to play skirmish or online Pvp Homeworld 3 is a decent game it does have its issues such as path finding and order abandoning but its a beautiful game for sure if your here for the campaign and single player aspect dont bother, (wait for a sale) its way to short not very challenging the story is just not great, and IMO it lacks what 1 and 2 really had an entire civilization depending on you to get them home, Hell even DoK had that aspect to it,

Well HW 1 had more units maneuvering. Attack-Move command worked there - not so much here.
If you put units into a formation, they will hold it by any means, even if they cannot attack while doing so and will die without shooting once.
-Because its no loose formations and they won't attack from it and get into it after attacking, they stay on it, all time.
It's "little" things like these that made the originals good.

Unfortunately for me, HW3 is just a name with a visualization but all little cool ideas that worked back then, are not integrated or don't work.

The story, or at least the ending of that story is "rough" and strange to me, seems as if "we" fought for nothing in the end, while being happy about having the "Star Trek Voyager" moment.

I don't know, i'm happy because there was another HW title and i am "sad" because it was obviously not done well enough (for what i and many others thought about a 3rd installement).

Edit: I got it for less (about 40 €), but i already have the feeling i bought too early for too much, even if i wanted the devs to deserve it ... I think they missed a big chance.

It's not a bad game, like many are writing, because it's not what they expected. But it's also not what i expected.
The truth is somewhere in the middle...
