Let me choose when to warp out!!
So, we get one missions (the crash) where the game seems to be coherent, then lose it from then on. At first they want us focused on resourcing as it seems safe, then when things to to pot, they want us to scram out of there. But we need to recall all our strikecraft AND we get the warp out button. If we weren't being swarmed, we could theoretically sit and resource and rebuild for a minute.

Why is it then for every other mission, as soon as the last objective completes, we insta-warp out, no need to worry about docking those strikecraft and leaving them behind again now do we? If its assumed we take the time to do so, then why don't we get all the remaining RUs on a map, or the Salvage? Or Auto-complete all construction queues?

If we aren't going to get at least those considerations or a moment to breathe after a big fight and give us the option to -DECIDE- when to warp out, then at least make all the above assumptions (which would be silly imo). When the characters say there is no more threat, let me behave like it for a minute. Let me rebuild all the losses I just took, reorganize my control groups, dock my strike craft etc. Instead of just pedal to the metal jump into the next mission with zero prep. Its like we're playing the madmax equivalent of a NOMAD playstyle instead of a bunch of well trained, reasonable starship captains.

I do like the game, I've never been a hardcore HW fan, but they've been fun, immerse, somewhat slower paced space RTS games and I've loved them for that. But this one bit really gets to me with HW3, I always feel like I'm jumping into the next mission and having to build while under immediate attack. There is a finite amount of RUs on a map, and we have a fleet cap, so letting us stay for a few minutes to rebuild and organize won't really be that gamebreaking imo.

This is a MAJOR caveat for me.

Nothing close the fact the game has Denuvo, but the insta warp out is something I would definitely need to see changed or modded before I could play this. One of the most enjoyable aspects of games like this is the calm AFTER the storm. The chance to minmax resources, get your fleet in order, enjoy the scenery and take some time zooming in on some of the details of the ships while waiting for them precious RUs.

I actually dumped the Campaign due to this and the constant take over from the game, you are doing intricate stuff with your fleet then the game takes control of your camera to show a pointless cut scene of enemies coming to get you. Then at the end of the mission with your battered fleet and loads of unharvested nodes it warps your ship off the map...every damn time. Trying skirmish now and done with the garbage campaign.
