How did it get 80? The campaign has simplistic writing with a frankly ♥♥♥♥♥ plot but flashy visuals and there's a setting to make your fleet invincible with infinite resources; so of course games journalists loved it.

Even Dean Takahashi could finish the game with all the hand-holding it does.

Game is actually good? Some room for improvement for sure (i'd cut the cutscenes entirely) and the game slows down at scale, but its homeworld through and through.

Visuals & sound design are spot on.

Millions play videogames heck maybe even billions at this point ofc people will have different opinions on different games, sometimes even hardcore denovo haters will bend the knee, we are only humans after all.
