Get Sins of a Solar Empire 2 Instead

I have been playing SoaSE 2 beta for months. It is WAY better than this game, and it does not require Denuvo or your first born son to play.

It got a 1 year "Epic Game Store" release into early access which tends to mean it gets a lot lot lot less attention until the year is up and it hits steam. It's also only got 2 factions (witheach made of 2 subfactions) in the game; so the steam release is being done jointly with the 3rd faction appearing.

I'm also excited for it coming out, but its just a totally different experience to Homeworld that the two aren't really a case of "better or worse" to me but different flavours of the same theme of space RTS

^I see, thanks. I'll wait for the Steam 1.0 release (or GOG, if they release there). Homeworld 3 also looks cool, and I like that you can apparently pause and issue orders during the campaign.
I'll throw both games on my wish list and next time I finish a game and go looking for something new, they'll be in consideration.

Sins doesn't need a campaign. its raw unfiltered skirmish is great fun. I feel like Wargames is a extremely missed opportunity in this game, anyone else?

Yup. Never buy Stardock games on release, they inevitably mature well with age. SOASE 1 had the same issue.

Not played Sins in ages. Its pretty nice but iono, 4x games just don't "click" for me. I prolly have around 20 ish hours in the first game and it always felt like I was just roaming around with no real direction or purpose.

Well, to give your a "Mini Playing the beta review", I would call it SoaSE 1.9999999. It does SO much stuff better than the first. My favorite is the Fleet Group Refill Build. What this does is when you make a fleet/group, you can set what ships you want in it, and if they are destroyed, the nearest factories start making "replacements" and send them automatically to join that fleet group.

If Sins 2 is on the EPIC store, it doesn't need a Denuvo, since the EPIC game store itself is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ liability. And collects SOOOO MUCH more data.. So before everyone starts crying about this, I'd take a look in the mirror, and also, of whats in most peoples hands these days..
