To me, as a former master league SC2 player, C&C player, and HW1&2 player, this game seems to work just fine. The only thing that bothers me is that the ship selection is a little too small, and there are a bunch of broken hotkeys or hotkeys that really need to exist but which don't - most notably special abilities. You can tell they were scrambling to overhaul some things last minute for sure.
But these are surface-level problems. The game looks gorgeous, sounds fantastic, and fundamentally plays well. It's responsive and tactical. These issues can be fixed with expansion packs and patches - and we have a roadmap. Does it prevent it from being a 10/10? Most definitely. But it's not a 5/10 either.
Let me quote your previous post.
So yes it seems very much implied to the average person that you think anyone who enjoys HW3 an idiot.
So Yes, it's fun but short term fun gameplay.
If your expectations are multiplayer and nothing more then you will probably have even more fun once the game is more available on Monday to the public.
