Guide on how to win ever skirmish game vs AI or Player
Want to win every game?

As soon the game starts, click as fast as possible on everything that is clickable in the buildmenu. Que up all units to 100 and create the maximum collectors.

After that, always click on the next possible research and also que all newly unlocked units to 100.

Basicaly make sure that you are always producing every single unit that is possible, non stop.

You will not run once out of ressources. I have tested this on 4 of the 6 maps.

No tactic needed, just order 100 of every possible unit that you can produce.

If you are not doing this, you are gimping yourself.

Now can anyone explain me how the devs came up with such an sad excuse of gameplay?

I'm confused.

Isn't every competitive RTS basically just a CPM calculation?

What has this to do with anything in my post?

While what you say is mostly true, I can only add that this happens because the maps are very small and there is almost no room for tactics . And of course, the ai has only very aggressive personality type. I would also like a setting for ai behavior. Like "defensive"

The irony is that HM2 had similar issues. Corvette and fighter (technically bomber but the class is fighter) completely obliterated everything in terms of cost effectiveness. Frigates needed to hit a critical mass to actually be effective (and then such masses are basically screwed once a single destroyer is produced).

But while it is still fun to play on skirmish with AI, this department needs lots of improvements. Urgent improvements I would say! If developers don't want review bombing effect on it...

SKIRMISH mode in HW3 has not received enough attention. That's more than obvious to me

Nothing, except that what you write isn't HW3 specific. It's how you win all RTS.

This is not correct.

If you try this in any other RTS, you will run out of ressources very fast. This is the only RTS that i know where you can build all units at once, non stop and never run out of resources.

The most cost effective thing in early game is the turrets. After that rush some attack frigate to tank while you wait for destroyers and torpedo frigates.

it does not mather, you just build every possible unit as fast as possible. Of course you will also have the turrets cos of that but that doesnt change anything

How do you deploy the turrets? They look like a boxes

No, homeworld was about positioning and formations.

Click the deploy button and then click on a surface to deploy.
