Maps & Mega structures are horrible
Keep your mega structures that's fine for some maps but WHERE are the open space maps like in HW1 & HW2

The mega structures are there because you are using the alien gates to travel around.

The alien tech that let you travel long distances that was in homeworld 1 is not something anyone has since there is only 3 of them known in existence and your synthetic cores that let you do far jumps probably had many reasons they were not used as often.

so we went from HO 1 & 2 exploring the beckoning vastness of space and the wonder of what lies beyond to big cities floating in a black background.

To be fair, tactically Open Space is the most boring from a gameplay perspective. It's a funny complaint really. That's like asking for a Starcraft 2 Multiplayer map to be totally green and flat with no terrain or elevation differences.

For me the structures are forcing players into a confined space, it looks awkward it feels awkward, just go back and look at the old games and the maps.

Hw1 and Hw2 always had tech limitations - so they're painted in the skybox.
The original Devs always wanted to put mega structures and such in the game, to the point that they wasted alot of time trying to make the tech possible in HW2. I remember reading preview articles about how they wanted strike craft flying through tunnels and ships landing on structures, but technology didn't match their ambition.

If only they had known that when technology did catch up their idiot customers would complain that the game isn't the same as "95% of maps in Hw1 & Hw2 that have very little structure on them"

I don't mind mega structures in moderation for variety, but the demo suggested the risk they were going to be overused all the time as a core 'new shiny feature'. I was trying to stay optimistic that maybe it was only a design quirk of Wargame rounds being focused rushes to objectives. It is disappointing to see from the early access commentary that smaller maps where megaliths are basically the map appear to be most of the game. This is not a plus.

I missed the demo release. Also, I backed this game on fig in 2019.

on potato PC´s yes. i have only a 2060 super and having no issues so far, even with denuvo poking around.
