No option for 4K or even 2560 × 1440 resolution.

Folks! Devs!!!

The game was not able to provide me with option to select at least 2560 × 1440 resolution neither in Full Screen or Windowed mode. 4K as well. Please do consider to patch this asap maybe as a hotfix before official release. This is so painful to play on 1080p on 55" 4K monitor.

And what is the actual difference between Low and Epic settings? Overall picture is near the same as well as CPU/GPU performance metrics. Was not able to feel the Unreal Engine + 4090 potential at all. Looks like the game is ok to run on calculator. Or this setting just a reflection/mapping of the Unreal Engine settings itself. Ok. Fine with that.

this is 100% a you problem, pal. I'm playing on ultrawide 1440p and it's smooth as butter

No this is not my problem since other titles run pretty well at these resolutions. If this is s driver problem, there should be the compatibility check in the game, telling me to update the driver.

are you up to date? if you go to the Nvidia App it requests you to update and mentions HW3 by name. i'm on an rtx4090 and working fine. there are other issues with the game but at least the aspect ratio and resolution is fine

Running happily at 2560x1440 here on a 3090. You did download yesterday's nvidia driver update, right?

Yes mate double checked and did the update. Still the same. Probably this is not about resolution itself but maybe aspect ratio. Some kind of property inside the game code. I hope they will fix this easily.

Found it. This is because custom resolution settings in Nvidia Panel. So the game works only with default resolution list. Now it is ok with resolution and 30 fps limit and probably I need to find better HDMI or even optics to be able to run 4K with 60Hz. 1 title against dozens of other games and this is my problem... ok. Ok. No blame culture. I'm sorry, I'm not professional developer and running my Unreal Engine pet projects without such issues. Once again you guys are coll devs maybe with CS grade you should know better. No blame culture. F... the quality and user experience.

Its a you problem 100%. No problems running at 2560 × 1440 120 FPS. I didnt even have to change any defaults. Get Gud.

I also can't get the game to go above 3840 x 1080, though my desktop is 5120 x 1440. I think it's because the "native" resolution is 3840x1080 and the engine is stuck because of that? Gonna go digging for configs to see if I can manually change the game resolution. A fix for this would be nice.

Same problem. Can't get past 1080p, though my native resolution on desktop is 5120 x 1440p. Changing config file in ..AppData\Local\Homeworld3\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\GameUserSettings.ini didn't help

you can change it in the ini file or go windows mode and your native ress in windows will be in game even if it says lower ress, its just UI bug.

Change to windows mode close down the game, open it up again.

Yeah, it's a bug with the resolutions list in the UI.
1) Change to Fullscreen in-game
2) Go to: %localappdata%\Homeworld3\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
3) Edit 'GameUserSettings.ini' file
4) Change:
ResolutionSizeX=5120
ResolutionSizeY=1440
5) Save File and Relaunch the Game --> Should be full screen at that res (ignore in-game resolution value as it will still be off)

I imagine they will fix this in a patch sooner rather than later

Had this issue too. NVidia and windows settings for resolution are correctly setted. It's not a you problem.
