Remember, buying fleet edition supports awful anti-consumer practice

As in the topic. Fleet edition gives 0 extra content for single player, but allows to play in the weekend while standard edition launches at Monday. This is awful way to make fans buy the expensive edition they might not care about otherwise.

Some time ago I wanted to buy fleet edition myself, but ended up getting standard edition, from cheapest official shop off steam(and still wonder if I shouldn't just refund my preorder) to avoid supporting this practice also because with all the post demo changes they promised, the coop mode will not be fun to solo so fleet edition stuff is useless for someone wanting to enjoy the game alone.

That's why I bought my Collector's Edition on Amazon, so I can get it on release day instead of on the 10th like everyone else. :D

Yea its a really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ gimmick, but your steam post wont changw anything. People arent going to find a hobby or do something productive and wait the 3 days to play. They will spend the extra cash to have something to do sooner. Too many people survive going from release to release wracking up 100 hours of steam time every 2 weeks.

Then over the next year or two it'll be a week early access.....then two weeks.....then a month. Then the next terrible industry standard will be figured out and that will be the norm.

The escape is just not to buy into it yourself, and do your best to not be bothered by it. Its a losing battle otherwise.

Yeah this is bs. Had wishlisted and was hyped but then I saw they release it intentionally on a monday and doubles the price for you to get it on friday. What a bs company ♥♥♥♥ move.. I'll wait for a sale, if I ever get it at all.

Umm, no? The Fleet Command Edition is equivalent to buying a Gold Edition of other games. It includes all planned extra content (DLCs, cosmetics, soundtrack, early start etc.) Here's what the Fleet Command Edition includes:

That and the DLC is only new factions, no mention of extra missions, no mention of single player content, just a few extra models that an intern can throw together. Those aren't single player DLCs that the majority of people will be wanting.

Technically wargames can be played solo so it is singleplayer dlc. I suspect you ment campaign dlc.

However Its not like homeworld ever had campaign dlc and i honestly don't know anyone expecting campaign dlc.

Removed implies the planned to include it in the base game which there is no reason to believe they ever did.

The base game has more content than any previous homeworld game so i dont know why you are complaining about it.

/shrug... I'm happy to support the game and it's developers by paying more. The only reason I'm not getting the Fleet Edition is because I already got the Collector's Edition from backing the game on Fig in 2018 lol

It's literally just $10 extra to play the game 3 days early. Base game is $60 and season 1 pass is $20. $10 extra bucks gives you a 3 day early trial.

How do you know how much the Season Pass costs? I don't see a price on the store page. Also the soundtrack is part of that bundle too. Your math ain't mathing Swaggaccino.

$5 for 3 days early access if you buy the deluxe bundle.

Of course I'm not saying it isn't expensive. It def is expensive. $90 for one game. But if you are a hardcore fan and know you are gonna buy the season pass anyways, it's well worth it.
