Im honestly shocked that developers still think that DRM is needed when every single study on the matter has shown that "piracy" does not hurt sales but rather increase them,

yes, but it takes time to break denuvo, that time can boost sales, since people who might normally pirate it dont want to keep waiting to play it.

you do sales boost by marketing, not by adding DRM which has been removed on every game. The software performs better without denuvo than with it due to its kind.
If someone doesn't want to pay for it, the DRM won't change that.

people always talk about denuvo affecting performance, and while im sure its true, every game ive played with denuvo has performed well. as long as a game is well optimized it wont be a problem, if it is, then the devs should work on the game more.

Devolopers make all kinds of mistakes and bad calls for the health of their games. It doesn't suprise me that some publisher bean counters, who know even less about game design would make bad calls like adding DRM.

I totally understand developers wanting to integrate denuvo! Most AAA titles have denuvo , it means that there are statistics demonstrating that consumers will still buy if they really want that game! It increases sales no doubt! You can say what you want. Regarding performance hit, I can talk about lies of p and recently removed denuvo from it, the performance before and after was identical. Same framerate, same GPU load.

Here i was under the impression that gamers in 2024 where well informed, curious and thinking consumers. I guess i was wrong.
