Why no campaign DLC/expansions planned?

Campaign/singleplayer is the lifeblood of any RTS, where's the Somtaaw expansion? Unit addons? Why focus on the part nobody actually asked for?

The farm isint on fire. The farm was turned to glass by nuclear fire. Homeworld could have been left alone on a high note and remembered fondly. Now a dark stain will forever remain on its record to be shunned like the 4th Indiana Jones movie and star trek enterprise.

campaign content is a lot more expensive to make than some multiplayer skins and stuff.

lol, no argument there. And it seems to me that game makers today just couldn’t help the impetuous urge to throw in the E-sports with fat dreams of a cash grab without even thinking about the cost and risk. Reputation of the franchise, fan base, potential of the IP all goes to the litter.

Because then Gearbox couldn't nickel and dime players with a multiplayer aspect. 100% Gearbox forced BBI to focus on wargames.

The ending is very open ended and set up for a part two.

Because they could not milk money on this Franchise this way. They (almost for sure Gearbox) don't give a f about what Homeworld was always about at first - Story, not the joke we have received with Netflix-like story.

I hope there will be Homeworld 4 or some day remaster for this game with new story.

As in trailer from 2021: we have not waited so long "... but not long enough".

Which doesn't make sense because the spectator mode is kinda whack.

Because it is a failed project, this will not be financially viable at anypoint. it is basiclly a KSP2.

KSP2 were killed by TakeTwo, when they syphoned devs from studio.
