And going into cloack mode is very easy......
Hm no..... afaik Warcraft 2 also had no detection for invisible units but that spell has huge mana cost and research cost.
Personally, I really just used cloaked units as spotters for torpedo/smart missile frigates.
According to the HW3 tech manual PDF, it detects cloaked units. I also think the Compendium says it's "weapon" is a cloak-detection sensor, but I'll have to double check that.
But I do believe you when you say it wasn't detecting your bombers. This game feels so inconsistent when it comes to cloaking and anti-cloaking.
EDIT: Yeah, in Compendium, Units>Incarnate>Platform>Sensor turret, in the weapon section it says "can also detect nearby cloaked units".
