Game crash when trying to load a saved game?

I was playing yesterday, when all of a sudden my game crashed. No big deal, since I had just saved the game. I try to load the save, it crashes again. I restart my computer, same thing.

Any save I try to load is now causing my game to crash, so it's unplayable. Have anyone had this experience or possible a solution?

What mission? Same thing happened to me on Oklahoma until I lowered the graphics to low. Even then I was only getting like 10-15 fps and it did crash once. I'm now on the final mission and I have decided to just give up until they bring out a patch. I've only had issues in these 2 missions

Possibly due to short of RAM, try closing programs that use a lot of RAM before loading the save file.

It's the one where you save Major Stevens. Just tried to lower the graphics, nothing different happened. Mu computer is able to run it at maximum graphics though.

share us your system please? loading a save when you have a lot of units on heavy clutter maps (such as oklahoma) do make the load significantly heavier especially on first time load. your pc might not be strong enough to handle it, or the save file is simply corrupted. the game is badly optimized (especially on core usage) so it might make sense if you crash even if your pc can handle maximum settings

Same here. I can play some hours. Today. The game crash to black screen.
My System:
10900K / 64 GB RAM / RTX 3090.
When I delete the doc-folder of the game, I'm able to play a few hours and the the same again!

I have RTX 3080 and 32 GB RAM but play Oklahoma just fine. I only have a lot of random crashes with the next mission, Fort W.

At the moment it crash in Fort W. I#m there too...

Black Screen and then no signal... Restart and retry = restart again! When I delete the documents/mygames/Terminator-Folder. I'm able to play again!!! The only game with that effect! RD2, Cyberpunk 2077, 3D Mark... Nothig will crash the system!

Same here, been searching for an answer to this, a couple of saves crashed the game in chihuahua, then all saves crash in Vega Texas.

in the discusssions page, the devs suggested opting into the open beta, (right click on the game in your library, properties, betas, should see a tab to op in to beta participation) its going to be a main live patch sometime next week, but this fixed my issue with the loading saves constantly crashing. =) awesome dev team for rolling out a hot fix that fast
