It was probably cheaper; the issue is when you go cheap, don't expect people to like your game when the narrative is garbage. Skynet and Connor or pass and I'm sure the sentiment is shared by (at least) 90% of the franchise fan base.

The game looks sick though, and the story is only based on the timeline, you can still have great characters that have nothing to do with the movies tbh.

A RTS has to be great to play first, story comes second.

Exactly. I dont rebember terminator movies all that well. But give me an RTS in a post apocalyptic world and i don't care if the machines are the good guys, skynet are the humans, John connor is a dictator and leader of the machines. I don't fu**** care as long as gameplay is good.

Modders will fix it. Leave it to modders to fix developers screw ups. More than likely someone will make a T1, T2, T3, and Salvation Mod that converts it to Skynet Timeline. Like a full conversion mod. Just have to wait and see.

What is the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ difference? Both are just murderous robots, only one group is more futuristic-looking than the other. First three films had, maybe 10 minutes each dedicated to human-robot war, while all other time in the film humans fought robots that were looking like humans too most of the time. I grew up on those movies, but i never cared about Skynet cos its just another generic Great Evil which main characters need to defeat, without its own unique style or ideology. Is change of one generic enemy to another reaaly a good reason to reject potentially good RTS?

Rule-breaking and name-calling? Yeah by two people trying to defend this game; not by anyone being valid in their criticism of the direction you all decided to take.
