Why are so few players playing at multiplayer?
I've been playing both Terminator: Dark Fate - Defiance and Men of War II, and I find Dark Fate - Defiance to be much more immersive and engaging. The gameplay, graphics, and overall experience in Dark Fate are exceptional. However, I've noticed that there is a much smaller online player base for Dark Fate compared to Men of War II.

Given the quality and immersion Dark Fate offers, I'm puzzled by this. Why are so few players playing Terminator: Dark Fate in multiplayer?

No Co-Op against AI, multiplayer games have a tendency to crash at start, maximum of 2v2 engagements, etc...

It's a Slitherine published game. All you gotta do is look at their history, and recognize that they don't really do well on the multiplayer side. Not only that, they usually don't finish their games. They show cool items and ideas in their campaigns, but beyond that, they flop or give up usually.

I understand now. It wasn't clear to me before, but it seems that Slitherine is mass-producing games with multiple releases each year. This game has potential, and I hope they will enhance the quality of the multiplayer experience. With a better multiplayer experience and more DLCs, the fanbase could grow. A great example is WARNO, which features Co-Op/Single Player General campaigns and numerous multiplayer maps beyond just 2v2

Comparing this game with WARNO is completely off in my opinion. WARNO is a game built around multiplayer with the singleplayer modes tacked on afterwards.

This game is made for singleplayer with a multiplayer tacked on. Expecting more than an eventually decent MP from it is delusional in my opinion and development resources would be better dedicated to enhancing the singleplayer instead.

Except campaign Co-Op. That would be THE multiplayer feature this game "needs".

Well, we are continuing with further multiplayer development over the next couple of years for Terminator. The next multiplayer update will be coming next month, as per the published roadmap.

This sounds great!

Because the developers spread the playerbase too much. Have you heard of a multiplayer game with multiple difficulty?
Company of heroes has a split playerbase between modded and unmodded wich takes away from the game, imagine if they had 5 game versions?
The devs should really pick a single difficulty for multiplayer and then the problem is fixed

I would absolutely love it if you did. But until then, the statement still holds. I am still waiting for the ability to play the arachnids in Starship Troopers Terran Command. Still waiting for Multiplayer for that game. But it's not fair to compare the games, especially since Terminator is an improvement.

Until I am proven wrong, I will sadly have to stand by my claim. Until the game gains a coop for a few of the game maps or even the campaign. Until you can do multiplayer with AI additions. Until you can support the modding community... And give these thing without charging them as DLC... I will have to stand by my claim.

My friends and I are still rooting for these staples of the RTS genera to be added to the game. But with your most recent advertisement for Purple Mayhem... They have lost their confidence. I still hold hope. But in the end, please. I challenge you with absolute support; please, prove me wrong.
