Dealing with Garrisoned Terminators
What are my options, or what are the best ways to deal with them?

I tried a few things, but it seems like I need a copious amount of fire power just to take down a single garrisoned unit.

Right now, the best strategy appears to be to simply outrange them with arty, but even that takes a while before they either are cleared out or they leave the building.

I got ranger units with c4, but I’m not so sure how effective they would be. Maybe EMP units remove their garrison bonus (if that’s even a thing)?

It just seems that it takes a long time to clear them, with increased time used in dealing with them, translates to more units tied up in just a single area.

Any tips are appreciated.

This is the first time I hear about garissoned Revs unless you mean MP.

Still, in a building they give up some of their main advantages.

You always need copious amounts of firepower to clear out Legion infantry from buildings. Snipers and high-damage autocannons work the best.

EMP'ing the bots also works but depending on the situation, you don't want to get that close.

In any case, don't assault Legion infantry without EMP and a healthy numbers advantage.
Also Revs and Homonculi have some of the highest CQC ability in the game, so use rangers, Gurillias and other units like mercs that have high/very high CQC. Also Homunculi are super slow so if you ever see them trying to walk into a building I would recommend evacuating the building and then pulling back, then counter attacking(thats if they even manage to walk through the front door without dying first especially when its a heavily garrisoned building)

You'll want to throw a emp grenade first. Rangers and Guerillas are outperformed in CQC by a very large margin. Lvl 0 is 3, at lvl 5 ranger and guerilla have a CQC score of 8. Hommuculus have a score of 10 always. Rev6 has a CQC score of 16. You will easily lose 3 men per dude in buildings.

1, send snipers, they are good at taking out any garrisoned infantry
2, send an abrams with 30mm rotary cannon, that make short work of any infantry hiding in the building
3, emp them before assaulting the building. Robots inside the building can be affected by emp, as long as a single unit is hit by the blast, the entire squad get stunned. Stunned robots will be taken out immediately in CQC.

Don't ever attempt to CQC legion units without EMP. They will just massacre your units.

Use M20, snipers or 50Cal machine gun. Terminator units are slow, it takes forever for them to reposition. Attacking them from the flanks is the safest way to destroy them.

Imma rephrase this question.

When I posted this, I was unaware of the assault (CQC) command (pretty much posted this during the second mission). With it being so early, it seemed impossible to route terminators out of a building.

Now I pretty much only use it for human enemies after learning some hard lessons.

This is honestly what seems like the best way to deal with garrisoned units.
Sniper fire seems to decimate garrisoned units, both mine and the enemies.

HE based weaponry seems to be pretty good against them (like aforementioned abrams 30mm), heavy arty being the best.

I haven't tried to really use EMP, with how close you have to get to deploy it, it always struck me as a worst case scenario type of deal. Maybe, if I was a little bit better at ambushes :spazdunno:

Move your troops so that they have line of sight to the actual models inside the building. They can't shoot through walls, but they'll try to anyway.

If you don't need or want the building: A heavy artillery shell a day, keeps the terminators at bay. ;)

Throw a smoke to get your units close, then EMP.

Grenade launchers and 20 or 30 mm rotary cannons work best against garrisoned units in my experience. I have two towed 20mm rotary platforms in my army and use the armored trailer with a tractor for these situations to saturate the building in shells. Arty works well also but can be expensive resources wise. Make sure your units have actual los to hit the units inside the building.

Not true. Higher caliber physical weapons like the .50 cal sniper can shoot through walls, but it depends on the building type, I assume. Stronger buildings will just take damage until the wall itself breaks and exposes the enemy inside. This is also the same with artillery and any explosions, unless they detonate inside the building, they seem to just damage the outside - possibly doing a small amount of damage to units within based on proximity to the explosion.
