And I usually use 9 generations to ask questions like this
2 atgm and 2 recoiless since they can also attack buildings.
And snipers or atgm crews in their respective roles like double atgm for the tow.
And a humvee with mingun and rotary light platform + 3 man sharshooter squad deletes infantry
So far in the end i have two strykers because Humvees die way too fast, i have a guerilla full stealth giving me field of view and my snipers and sharpshooters taking out infantry with atgm squad taking out vehicles. I stopped using Humvees after the stealth mission with the cartels because they were dying so fast and couldn't take out the infantry in the buildings.
I disdain the plasma recoilless as an option on anything. It's just too highly specialized, with an infuriatingly slow projectile and rate of fire, and (in my highly subjective, personal experience) is remarkably unreliable in terms of accuracy and damage in a crisis. If you absolutely must have a specialized AT 'Hamvee' I recommend a TOW instead. Just because the M113 is the ideal mount for the TOW, doesn't mean you shouldn't ever put them anywhere else.
I never use the grenade launcher. Ever. Indirect fire sounds great, and there are times where it is great, but there seem to be far more occasions where I discover this thing is just wasting ammo: usually on the corpses of things that have already been killed by better weapons (like the minigun).
I use Humvees a lot in my T-Force. They're my linebackers: a mixture of bulk, speed and power adaptable to a wide variety of roles. Breach in the defenses? Plug it with Humvees until the infantry can get into position. Surprise objective? Sound it out with Humvees. Need to get somewhere fast and duke it out when you get there? Send in the Humvees!
When I first started playing, I leaned more towards the minvan. They seemed more adaptable with their transport capacity, but I found I never, ever needed to transport ten troops anywhere -and certainly not in the lightest, brittlest vehicle in the game. The extra ammo sounds nice, but by the time you blow through the Humvee's supply you can reload your squads from actual armored transports or even logistics vehicles.
