Abrams or Bradley?
As the title says, whats better abrams or Bradley? When I put ATGM on Bradley in early mission it often kills more vehicles because of accuracy and range. Same with maingun against infantry. But whats about lategame? Should i have both or can i sell the abrams?

God don't sell the Abraham's.

With a plasma turret and plasma coax with the missile defense system, the Abraham's is a death machine. You need both the Abraham and Bradley's due to the scaling nature of the reinforcements. I run 2 Bradley's and 1 Abram.

Abrams over Bradley for rarity but Bradley’s are amazing I have 1 abrams and 2 Bradley’s. I’d take more if it wasn’t for supply

I used to hold on to the Abrams. But the truth is - the early game [about first 5 missions after Haven] doesn't need it. I found a way to get 3 Bradleys before entering Tortuga (where the 4th is waiting, and in the mission after that is another one, so a total of 5 with 2 are bought at the Integrators).

Just doing Vega and even there the Abrams just can't keep up. Sure, one shot out of the plasma cannon deletes everything. But the Bradleys can do the same as almost all have now TOW missiles...

The other thing is - you only get to use the Abrams after the 2nd or 3rd access to the reserves - the Bradleys just are available earlier in each mission. That makes them the backbone of the army. The Abrams is merely to mob up the rest so to speak...

So I'm going to try another run without the Abrams I guess. :lunar2019piginablanket:

if u pay atention at Abequiu once u triggered the legion assault an abraham will show up next to the bridge when u did encouter "mac".

It's a bait from Rev6 and has no ammo and fuel but if u manage to kill them and secure,u can refill with fuel and full ammo

Abrams is definitely better than the bradley but the major downside is the hatch for the secondary weapon (i.e the second weapon is a an open hatch gun with an exposed gunner). The secondary weapon is make or break for the abrams early on. If you give it the plasma RR it can one volley kill legion tanks (sorry to plug my video in here) but is virtually defenseless against infantry aside from the heat rounds.

If you need anti-infantry than switch that secondary to grenade launcher and later the plasma machine gun (but in all honesty just keep the grenade launcher, the bradley get a minigun that puts the plasma machine gun to shame). Bradley cannot carry a grenade launcher of any kind and its main gun is its main source of damage. Plasma auto cannon can be used for AT or minigun for infantry slaying (and it shreds people in buildings too, to preview this don't help the movement in the first mission, watch those rev 6 with the same minigun rip those people in the houses to shreds). Bradley can carry atgm infantry for support against vehicles or heavy weapon squads for grenade launcher support.

Bradley is better at infantry slaying. The Abrams has a greater potential for vehicle murder. The Bradley needs infantry support to be effective while the abrams can under most circumstance (i.e not under threat of ATGMs) be left by itself.

For the entire first half of the game Bradley feels better then the Abrams, BUT! once you're done with all the bandits, cartels, etc and ready to continue to fight against the legion... idk. Bradley is kind-a lacking. Sure, it's still a great vehicle and can kill lots of lesser threats, but legion tanks are just THAT powerful, that Bradly feels almost useless. Legion tanks eat your ATGMs like candies and asks for more, and can wipe out your IFV with a couple of shots. Abrams can at least compete, if not match.

What I did to my Bradlies: I've modified 2 to bring a rotary 20mm cannon. At first I did it to see what'll it do. Now I'm almost exclusively using these 2 bradlies, and the rest (including plasma) are just there... not sure if I used 'em in Oklahoma. 20mm gatling wipes out infantry AND can shoot fliers. For everything else - you've real tanks.

Abrams has a build-in machine gun, that is always there, regardless of what you install in its slots, so it's not that defenseless, honestly. With any anti-infantry turret it's better balanced, but that machine gun is always there.

The basic machine gun is pretty bad at killing infantry for some reason though. It'll drop like 1 dude every 5 seconds which is really bad given the current enemy counts.

You should have both for late game. Legion Tanks are ungodly tough, will need 120mm AP or heavy plasma rounds to stop it. But Bradley handles lesser vehicles and infantry better.
Sardonac Feb 28, 2024 @ 5:43pm
Yeah I like a heavy plasma abrams combined with a pair of light plasma bradley vehicles. With some careful micro they can handle even the super tough tanks fairly reliably.
Wurzelprrz Feb 29, 2024 @ 3:50pm
@HeathenSW: If you put a Plasmacannon on the abrams you lose the machinegun with 5000 rounds. If I fight against human enemies i prefer the standart gun with the Plasma RR as AT support. Against Terminators it might be better to specialise the abrams to use Plasma and focus on fighting vehicles(?).
How does the Plasma Cannon for the Abrams compare to the Twin Plasma Autocannon? I like the single Plasma Autocannon I have on my Bradley, so two at once would be sweet, but I haven't gone up against heavy armor with them.

Currently have both in inventory but was keeping the standard 120mm and coaxial for the Cartel parts.

It's not as effective as the bradley for anti-light vehicle or anti-infantry but it is basically a one-hit kill on most vehicles like the legion tank's gun is.
