1-During the cartel infiltration phase, win arena fights and buy best weapons for mason and church squads
2-When you become a cartel go to the southeast area of the map and liberate the prisoners
3-Use the prisoners to capture all abandoned vehicles in the map and put them somewhere safe (best would be near luiz position)
4-Use your guerilla squad and plant C4 near enemy positions
5-Infect the legion in the center, they will lcear a god chunk of the enemy
6-When the part where the cartel becomes hostile starts, press pause and detonate the C4, it will reduce the attacking force considerably leaving you breathing room when going for the helicopter
Don't know if I even want to try and redo all of that again. Wtf were they thinking with this mission, legitimately one of the worst RTS missions I may have ever played. I went from really enjoying this game to thinking about asking for a refund, depending on if the rest of the game is filled with terrible missions like this.
I know that feeling so well. I say that then after I cool down and return back lol
Its one of 'those' RTS missions where you're expected to learn and follow a specific script to beat the mission.
Yeah I did the exact same, had a great push only for the enemy to swarm Luiz.
Once you did that - position your anti-tanks (you'll get a fancy recoil rifle squad) on the cliff and some cannon fodder in the buildings and wait for initial cartel squads to hit Luiz location.
Beat these. Possibly by kicking crew out of vehicles and capturing them later. RPGs can set a vehicle on fire while recoil rifle can simply wipe it out. Cars on fire eject crew which you can wipe out.
Once you are fended these off - head to the firing range where you might have heard gunshots. A few more squads will join you and a very valuable supply truck is there as well.
Then you can assemble your forces and start climbing up the hill to get the chopper. The timer for chopper will trigger only when you reach the first buildings on the path.
Send RPG teams first, then guerillas and militias. Clear buildings by assaulting them! Deal with vehicles first and crews if able to. DON'T get into cliff-side buildings - this will trigger Jail defenders to attack you.
Keep pushing up. Use your heavy squads with BMG / AGL (if any) on the last few buildings on the path. There is a rather empty chunk of this path leading to the top where you'll lose your infantry if not supporting it. Top is easy.
Fun part starts next when you are forced to wipe ALL cartel forces from the map :D
Get reserves deployed. Advance carefully. If you have arty - use it wisely. If not - last few steps for you would be very hard... Use guerillas and your founder squads (Mason especially) to assault buildings.
And remember - Church and Mason MUST survive. That is not said anywhere, so keep that in mind.
Where can i find supplies for them? They are all out of ammo.
I understand making you work but the games not balanced correctly.
