During mission all of them get teir 1 or 2 weapons and once you sell those weapons you pay back not only the unit cost and upkeep but keep some extra profit... imagine if you didnt even need the units? you'd have a ton of money...
The way they can fix it imo is have the concept of "used weapon/worn out weapon" so that stuff you pick up is worn out and costs less to sell... but is functionally identical to new weapon if you just equip and use it.
left on the map only the weapons you can get. In practice this would mean that if you have 3 Heavy weapons unit, afer you rearm them, the other available weapons, vanish.
And somewhere in the UI you point out how many weapons are still available to pick after the last objective is reached in the mission.
each one will probably get you a sniper to sell and a vehicle...
It seems the campaign missions need some more polish and I know there will be more fixes and balancing as time goes on, but I'm having a hard time playing through this mission. Not enough resources to equip my army from the Haven exit.
Will wait to see if there are any new updates coming in the near term. But for now may just play skirmish mode and learn the different types of units and abilities much better.
Happy coding.
Note you can only pick up one, so even though you have 2 snipers only one will pick up that .50 cal...
You can verify when you see ammo types change, you'll see one has .300 cal one has .50cal.
Nothing else to it.
All the equipment you buy from the trader is transformed into a militia and a RPG-squad. Weapons you can actually pick up are on the ground with a grey circle around them. If you select a unit with the corresponding weapon slot, it is highlighted.
Yes, you don't receive enough to fully equip your force after Haven. Thats kind of the point. You only "need" to reequip four units anyway, you can do it with less. The core of the strategic campaign is to manage supply. Descide which units you can afford to keep and which ones to sell. It is in a very good place at the moment.
Skirmish is not a good way to learn how to play the campaign. You have less options, less unit mixing, no XP ranks, less or no abilities, less equipment, etc.
