Actually, it's a bit of both. Legion has access to plasma weapons, which it didn't have in the movie. It's essentially Skynet, but with Legion markings.

Also, please don't knock the game just because it's set in the Dark Fate timeline (Kinda). It's actually pretty good.

It's is a licence related issue. This game has the dark fate but it has literally 0% direct relation to the movie

It's like making an Indiana Jones game where you play as that annoying chick (what's her name? No one remembers). Easiest pass ever.

I wanna play this game so bad, but the Dark fate timeline is making it a pass for me right now. I just can't understand why they didn't want to go in the skynet future wars setting.
