It may be a redistributable that Steam installs on first run of the game might require a restart, so that might be the case here
If the issue persists you can contact our support team - support@slitherine.co.uk
It's crashing when loading into the game. So hit play in launcher, get the slitherine screen come up then it moves to load something after that and theres just nothing and crashes.
If possible could you email our support team? They will be able to help you further.
Also if possible could you send them any logs you have?.........
From the game launcher, on the top left of the launcher there is a settings COG wheel, if you click that and open the logs folder, sending over the file(s) in there, as well as any in the FATAL folder in the same location, will be very helpful!
This is interesting I'm also running 5140x1440. Noticed the other thread with widescreens having issues too.
I'll email right away
Can confirm this works. But lets face it on a ultra wide it looks like arse... this is interesting btw as the demo was fine on my monitor
It won't work even if I try to force it to using the Steam launch options to set the resolution to 1080p.
Is there a config file where we can edit it directly?
yeah follow this path
C:\Users\Username\Documents\My Games\Terminator Dark Fate\profiles\9f28bb56f8edba169d19a5fd4a23d872
Open the folder named
gameoptions
and look for
<render.mode.width>2560</render.mode.width>
<render.mode.height>1440</render.mode.height>
change the numbers accordingly (seems ultrawides are all having issue so stick to standard resolutions, 2560x1440, 1920x1080 etc)
Refunded.........
I solved it discovering that Windows Defender were blocking the .exe when it was trying to modify the "documents" folder (I think in order to create a save folder or something similar).
I just allowed it and now it works.
Nice one. I must have deleted that and it generated the file again on start up.
