coop skirmish was literally THE reason I was interested. now seeing it's not available (i'm pretty sure) there is absolutely no interest in me.

Not quite, but almost. IMO, there are some games that could have stood to gain from bot skirmishes.

Co-op skirmish. Regular player vs bot skirmish is already present.
