Sure they can crew tanks and helicopters, but that's it and there are not that many tanks and helicopters that you'll need to pilot. Other than that they are no better drivers as rpg/heavy/sharpshooter teams. Also, as a side note, their tank piloting upgrade improves the amount of mines they can lay at the same time and the amount they have, since it increase their squad number by 1.
You should have at least one or two technicians at level 1-2 by that mission, grabbing antitank mines is a good utility pick for them.
We have the enginner from tortuga mission, the hacker squad.
But when I look around and see how many players complain about the supply costs of their army and can't handle it, as well as how the later missions "Oklahoma" are probably too difficult for many, I would say that it was a detrimental factor.
I want to point out again, the first Abram tank is driven by 3 Rev-6 Terminators, which according to the ingame wiki description can drive AND use any vehicle. But why do they just leave the operational tank?
Especially since these units are clearly based on the T-800 from the original series. One of the biggest tasks of the T-800 was to infiltrate and sabotage humans.
Yeah but makes a good tank crew as well. But we are talking about the legion convoy mission which is mission 2
And it get a nice cannon and a nice machine gun (in Vega I changed cannon to plasma but now I think it worse).
From the start of game Abrams is the core of my army.
playing on hard
After Oklahoma I basically went full armor brigade: 3 Abrams + 4 Bradleys + The Sherman + artillery as the main force, a single APC and a Blackhawk to ferry engineers around, and 4-5 squads of various infantry just to take key buildings and do recon. Still under 90k supply per day, so no issues.
I'd also like to know why it has no ammo either... the fuel part sorta makes sense, but why would they drive around a tank with no ammo?
- ...
Soldier: You are not right, this Abrams have a lot of ammo!
Legion: I'm apologize for the mistake. You are correct, this Abrams have a lot of ammo. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.
Because it's a trap. You don't wanna arm the people falling into the trap. Those Rev-6 would not stand a chance against it if it had ammo.
