Supply management isn't fun.
I love the tactical layer of the game and the story but Supply Management is not fun. Especially because I just got done with Oklahoma and I have to give up basically everything I just got if I want to have even a chance of making a 6 day trip? Feels like I got soft locked.

Jip, Oklahoma is some kind of bad joke. You get trolled by new units being available (Blackhawk / Himars / self-propelled Artillery / 3 Abrams) and basically have to leave everything behind.

Even then you should never do trading trips. Grab the supplies and move forward without improving your army.

The other option is to just hexedit the needed supplies to move forward. (did that the first time I hit that softlock).

edit Without having the meta-knowledge I have now it was impossible in my first playthrough to move forward - even after selling all new Bradleys ( :steamsad: ), 2 Abrams and 1x Himars / 1x Artillery as well as all supply & fuel trucks. I even threw out all of my HumVees. No dice. Problem was I moved back to the trading posts.

how do I hex edit? If I can just get like 3 or 4 more days of supplies I could at least go and sell my vehicles and such properly.

There is a guide which should help people not familiar with hexeditors here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3170605898

It's basically using any hexeditor (I'm using ImHex), searching the string value you want to change (e.g. your supplies) and change them to whatever you want.

thanks. I hate resorting to cheating but I don't want to be soft locked like this.

So, I am currently soft locked and have tried everything. I even tried the hex edit route and even that didn't work. I put freaking 40 hours into the campaign and its looking like I'm either going to have to start over. Does anyone have any other ideas? I like this game but I feel like this part is glitched or something.

1. Please send an autosave or manual save from the strategic map (after completing the last mission after which you faced the problem) to support@slitherine.co.uk. We would like to look into this situation.

This could help us.
During closed beta testing, we did not encounter such situations, with the exception of cases where a player chose Goodwill points instead of Supplies as a reward for a mission, while having a lack of Supplies (this option is left for those players who managed to accumulate excess Supplies in previous missions).

2. You can significantly reduce the consumption of Supplies in custom difficulty options, start the new campaign with this difficulty and load your old save file from the strategic map. The consumption will decrease, according to the new settings, and you will be able to continue your current playthrough.

I love seeing a developer comment on a post this old. Shows a true care for the fanbase.
