Stryker (and more) in Abiqui

Is there a way to get the Stryker without triggering Kondo's crap?

Or even more specific, I wanna unlock the Movement Base mission, get the Stryker, Bradley and Abrams.

Is that even possible?

Yes you can all depends on speed. So have a unit south and hit the legion outpost and nearly wipe them out. While you do that make sure you have talked to balzano and trigger the attack with you defending. If you time it right can have balzano attack the movement outpost. You kill him quickly and go kill the rest down south and have a unit go grab the stryker then bradley and double back to the Abrams.

And you can not avoid kondo events they MUST happen no matter what. But there is a few ways of doing it since thats what I did.

Interesting - I never tried hitting that Legion camp before talking to Kondo

So I gather there is no legit way to get all the things in OP and you're forced to do unintended cheese/exploit to accomplish it, if it works at all.

Btw, I can't kill Balzano if I want to unlock the Movement Base defense mission (which has an achievement attached to it).

its completely doable, you can start and kill the south outpost and save the sister of the mechanic that gives you the Stryker. Once you kill the south you need to be quick and talk to him and get the Stryker and fight the legion. Kill off the legion and boom you can aquire the abrams then use all the units you get and just head to balzano and literally just kill him. itll force the thugs he has to run and there you go a bradley. Along with a M113 in the field with another humvee

There is quite a few ways, up to you how you wanna do it and give it thought.

I think there is some miscommunication here. I literally can't kill Balzano, I need to help him destroy the Movement Camp or else the Movement Base Defense mission will not be unlocked. It's an entirely seperate mission and unique to having fully sided with Balzano. I also have to flee and sacrifice all the Founders units that would still be in reserve. The timer to flee is too short to call them in also flee. Especially because the map is crawling with Legion then. Also afaik, I can't kill Legion either at that point because that aswell will prevent the mission from being unlocked.

Ah that, yeah I had to leave behind the bradley and abrams. Only took the stryker since I ran as legion let me high tail it.

All good. I just did the seperate mission now for the achievement. I was just wondering if there was a way to get everything + the mission.
Doesn't seem to be the case. And it kinda makes sense I guess.

Oh and btw, Balzano will leave the Bradley behind if you just ignore his request and do the Legion camp together with the Movement.
That way you don't have to do anything weird or quick. You can just go an get it after you've cleared the map of Legion units and saved Kondo etc.
Getting Stryker, Abrams, Kondo and everything in the field and all the rest on the map.

I never helped him once but next playthrough I intend to have him at the end but thats actually good to know man.

At abiqui once you get the supplies you need, you need to evac the zone with the optional timer at the exist. Which takes you to an defend outpost mission as you move south. Its super easy to miss

Hm. I always help Moevent and Kondo there, and then just wipe Legion from map with Movement help.
So I get Abrams, Bradley and Striker.
But don't get defend mission :(

But don't get defend mission :(

Yeah but you sacrifice all your leftover Founder units from the Haven mission, you don't get the Stryker, nor Bradley, nor Abrams, nor Kondo, no Mac, no Pastor, no Monkeys, you basicly get almost nothing from Abiquiu besides the supplies.
The unlocked mission will shower you in Movement units with lots of artillery (not the big one), depending on how good you did and how much survived on that mission.

I'm not really sure it's worth doing. Aside from the achievement.
Maybe even the worst (or hardcore challenge mode) outcome possible.

It's really a tough decision. I could go with no Abrams. But having no (second) Bradley (Taos sells one after Abiqui) - that's rough

Wait, which one exactly is the Movement defense mission? Immediately afterwards I got a mission where i had to stop Legion convoys from breaking through, but that was way after I'd let the timer run out at Abiqui and looted the map of everything, including Balzano's Bradley and the Abrams.

Is there a mission in between these two that I missed? Because that convoy mission basically showers you in artillery turrets for days.

Nah, you just sacrifice your founder troops, abrams and bradley.

Kondo can be saved if you park humvee near the south exit of that long pedestrian only walkway to the south of where he spawns, make him rush to it and then driving it off. Civilians can't be saved in time for sure though.

Mac can be gotten if you say that you have no target yet for the movement. You can then initiate the talks with them again and trick them to attack legion as balzano wants. Just be sure to help Mac earlier on the map.

Pastor is independant, you just drive to him and he joins. I am honestly wonering if anything changes later if you don't get him. And Mac as well.

Stryker needs planning a bit. After you clear the movement base you are left with the task of checking their hq for supplies - the task is not time sensitive. Send one squad that can drive to the mechanic and carefully destroy every legion unit in the south base except for couple of homunculi. Then check the hq and kill the remaining homunculi shortly after. Now you have helped the sister and mechanic will give you stryker. Send the stryker to the exit point asap, since it's slow af.

You have enough time to get all the vehicles on the Field and possibly just enough crew.
