Chihuahua Needs A Market!
Prior to completing Chihuahua, I was a bit skeptical about all the posts claiming BS around the supply mechanics. However, after finishing the (truly brutal) series of Cartel missions, I think that the game would be improved by at least informing the player that they will need to make the round trip from Nueva Tortuga to Chihuahua without the chance to upgrade units/sell captured vehicles.

As it stands, I had to resort to modding my save in order to barely get back to New Tortuga to do the necessary army management.

I fully admit that this is because I have a pathological fear of scrapping Bradleys, however, when you finish Tortuga you get a supply base there to work with. I was expecting the same from Chihuahua. When that was not the case, I opted to cheat via modding rather than replay Bridges and Chihuahua, just saying.

Thanks for the heads-up. I'm slogging through Chihuahua and the mission is so overtuned as to be unenjoyable. Does it even have worthwhile rewards past what you get off the civilians at the bridges?

That depends on what you consider to be a good reward; there is a vehicle depot in Chihuahua that has: 1 Bradley, 1 Stryker, 1 Humvee and 1 M113, plus an assortment of other Cartel vehicles. For me, the extra Founders vehicles are a good reward. My main gripe was that I wasn't able to upgrade my newly leveled Technicians after completing the mission, which meant that I had to either slog through both previous missions (for like the 4th time each lol), or risk breaking everything by downloading a sketch russian mod to enable all units to crew all vehicles, and then uninstalling/reinstalling the game to hopefully blow away the mod, since its super lame to be OP like that IMO.

The Bradley is nice, but, for the rest, I have had more success with an armoured trailer with upgraded weapons for troop transport and supply. Selling them back at Tortuga would just barely gain enough goodwill to cover the supply, I think.

Thanks.

yeah if you are at 0 day supply when you arrive in Chihuahua, you are never gonna make it back the 3 day trip with out scraping at least half of your army.
Yeah, I just got slapped by this too, lol.

Didn't have a spare tank crew, so I called in my second Bradley crew without their Bradley to grab the one from the junkyard, and figured I'd train one of my other 20 Technicians to drive it right after the mission. Felt real slick!

...had to scrap it to get back on the road. Feelsbadman.

Thanks for the info, I did a guide about editing your savefile because I wasn't able to come back, even after scraping half my army
