Don't attack the artillery head-on.
Don't try to get cute with getting the rocket crews/himars.
Slowly but surely try to pick the "non-reinforcing" troops guarding the artillery area. When mason says the artillery is reloading, you can get the rocket troops back to your starting position, 2 salvo will definitely take care of the enemy artillery.
At this part of the game you should have at the very least 2 abrams, and at least 3 bradleys.
1.
If you're going to give a superior enemy the ability to create an infinite number of units, maybe make supply units hold more resources or more supply points?? Having a supply base right next to the AI base just triggers them to swarm that area.
Multiple Legion tanks are better than anything I have. I had one Legion tank that took six ATGMs to destroy. Even two of my Abrams had issues taking one on. Maybe Nerf them a little.
2. Like the other users, why would you make it so we are forced to call in troops on that mission? I was forced to call in my units right on top of Saxon, who was attacking me. That's just a terrible game play decision.
I beat Syrian Warfare and the other warfare games. This one is by far the hardest I play. It's like the dark souls of RTS. lol
All my Abrams and ATGMs were out of Ammo. I might restarted the campaign again.
At first it made sense because Legion was aware of my location from previous encounters, so I reformed my lines covering my flanks in a different location. I noticed that the artillery adjusted fire to continue to drop accurate rounds, so I figured I was being spotted and sent scouts out to locate possible spotters. They don't seem to exist, however. The artillery continued much to my frustration.
So much to love about this game, but it feels a little like some of the Just Cause games where it feels like as soon as the game starts to feel fun that it goes out of its way to squash your good time.
1 Abrams with all upgrades
1 Bradley with all upgrades
1 Stryker
And Cartell 80mm mortar Humvee.
The rest are infantry that actually wiped by arty and trucks with support platforms.
And since i sided with Deserters, he attacks me with Founders too.
This was on realistic difficutly, I lost nothing but a few squads took minor casualty. A few things to note, if you have a heli you can save scum to scout out enemy artilery positions and blast em with your own. Also, try to clear up some parts of the areas that your men will spawn in, it helps to have everything neat and infantry placed inside transports. You'll want to hug the corner of the map you originally started from.
The biggest pain are some of the legion tanks that tank like 5 or 6 ATGM/tow shots. Save scumming and proper positioning is the way to go.
